no it should not work by any guesstimate or anything. Nothing about that says it should work with cannabis...nothing

your talking about cfl's which are different than the incandescant lightbulb. cfl's will work but the reg. lightbulbs will not work but if ya don't want to believe everyone telling you this try it and see for yourself.

honestly i agree, don't take that negative tho bro, I would never turn my back on a fellow cannabis lover in need without trying ...but for real research is key, ask around . Ive been on here for a week or so and have met tons of growers who had first time success, actually i think sickshot is one of them, but these growers all had knowledge. He's right, do your research and then when you feel comfortable, set up your area top to bottom inside out...THEN grow...CFL's are a good way for someone to start. Won't cost you much to experiment and do some hands on learning. But for real electricty and water are dangerous combo's and Cannabis is an amazingly complex plant that can be grown in many many many different ways under a variety of techniques...do some research.

ok m8 i will find a cheap cfl :D but wudnt the spectrum from the 200 watt or ej bulb make it bud better because they dont have much blue spectrum so it would be shit for veg but it should be ok for budding im seeing result on my easyryder and its only been hours so i recon it worth trying in flowering stages ill keep u updated

they are right. The more you read the more you will learn. I am new to all this and I spent my first months just reading in the forums and asking questions. Before I started I pretty much had an idea in my head about the whole grow because I had done so much reading. I learned what to do and what not to do, what works and what doesn't. All this research has made things alot easier with the grow because I almost feel like I have done it before because I have read so many journals and posts here on RIU.

I read a couple books before I tried this first grow, not to mention roamed around the site for a little while.. Nothing great but first grow from some bagseed and I am happy with what I have so far, 45 days into flowering ;)
that's not bad at all for a first grow. all the leaves look really healthy and i can see you have those cfls nice and close. good job. when i started i killed a bunch of vegging plants before i got any to bud, and even the budding plants looked a little sickly. I have a few grows under my belt but i still struggle with leaf health late in flowering. lol some of us make things harder than they need to be and take more practice than others and this is why it is so key to do as much research as you can. to the op i would definately reccomend some more reading, and DO NOT bother with that bulb. for the electricity you will burn you will get almost no production. you could do at least twice as good with half the watts with cfl lights and they don't burn out so quick, they don't get near as hot, and they just look cool lol.

Thanks and yeah I didn't start with CFL's but learned the ways as time went on, using 150watt HPS but use the CFL's for side lighting :D
