just bought volcano REVIEW

whats up pot heads,

I just bought the volcano digit vapor with solid valve and my reviews are not good. I get high with 2 bowls. After 5+ bags im no where near the 2 bowl high range. I feel a buzz but that's it.. i set the temp at 370.....i don't think im using it wrong. I use good weed. i just don't know what 2 do any more....any ideas? I would gladly appreciate it.

1. I don't follow Fahrenheit temps - switch to celcius and go 205C. Perfect every time but you can edge higher or lower according to your taste.

2. Grind your bud rather fine. No scizzors, if you don't have a grinder your bud should crush rolling a cup or rolling pin over it. More surface area = better extraction. To a point, we don't want bud flower.

3. Bud should be bone dry. Grind half a cup of bud and leave it open to dry. Otherwise we have to evaporate the water in the bud before boiling off the resin.

4. *edit: If you haven't cured your bud (and it's still wet): bake it in an oven at 106C for 15 minutes longer than it takes to dry completely. I usually just pop it in a toaster oven for an hour. Decarboxylizes the THCA to THC, you won't get very high otherwise. Some genius figured out the THCA decarboxylizes quickest with the least loss of THC at 106C.

5. Fill your basket first and put it on the Volcano to preheat when you turn the Volcano on. Much thicker bags.

6. Save your first run dregs and do a second run using the dregs from 3 runs. Very thick bags and the taste isn't too bad.

7. Save your dregs for making browinies.

i have one also the didi with solid valve and i fuckin love the thing i set mine at 206C because you want to vaporize cannabanoids with thc i dont know what 370F works out to in C but try my temp and get back to me because this seems crazy, im rediculously baked before my bowls even done i tend to get about 3-4 bags per bowl and im toast before i can finish the bowl. and just so you know i am a huge chronic and my stuff is left a little longer so i think its got more cannabanoids then thc but i dont know just my thinkin.

btw please dont bake your bud in the oven not sure what hobbes is thinkin. but do dry it out, BUT MY GOD NEVER THE OVEN

I hear ya buddachron, but next to a slow cure I find a bake cure the best potency and taste. Better than a 7 day water cure. It's the best of bad options, not something good. Only to be used if you're fresh cutting bud or have soaked bud that won't vape. If I hung a cola for 4 or 5 days I'd use the bud as is (65-75% water loss) but if I was out of bud or wanted to sample and clipped a cola I'd bake it. Sorry if there was a misunderstanding.

With joints baking wouldn't work but with the Volcano it's the best second option, or the best bad option. Drying and vaping uncured weed is just harsh with little psychoactive effect.

thanks for your help bro...how do i switch to celcius? it came with a grinder and i do grind it up good. The only good bag i have is 1st bag thats it and its not a omg bag so far not worth 670$

Personally I agree with you. I have a buddy who loves it. I tried it and thought it was cool and then went out and bought one. Had it about 3 days and decided it wasn't worth it. Wasn't happy with the effects either. Luckily I bought it at a place that was willing to give me a full refund so I returned. It would be cool to have around from time to time but at the price I found better places to spend my $$. Everyone is different, so while I know there are many who LOVE it, It wasn't for me either.

206c = 402 f....ive read other people say never go over 380 f

I just bought a Volcano and I love it. After a few bags My head is high high and I get the giggles forever.
I love it, takes a minute to get dialed in but you can set there on the couch and vape through a whole movie with out looking down to roll.

Sorry to say but you have to be doing something wrong. When you pack it, are you packing it full? It shouldn't be so full the stuff is compressed in there, but it should be lighlty filled all the way to the top of the piece. Only putting a small amount of herb in there does not work very well. Also, as people have said, you should turn it on and put the piece on the top and let some of the hot air blow through before putting your bag on it, that way the herb is starting to be vaporized before you put the bag on and instead of having a mixture of air and vape in the bag you will have mostly vape.

I have the same one, digi volc. The thing almost gets me too high. In fact, I won't even smoke it early in the day because it knocks my ass out.

Watch some videos of people using one on youtube, maybe you will see something they are doing that you are not.

You need to increase the temps as the bowls start to cash out. The volcano gets me high as shit. You must be doing something wrong.

1/3 to 1/2 level teaspoon, I keep a couple of measuring spoon with the volcano. 1 bag.

I use to run the 2nd bag with 3 runs of dregs but I just use them for brownies now.

By top do you mean the top of the bowl? How many teaspoons of bud would you estimate that to be?

I only push the plunger screen part way down, not touching the bud, but I've talked with others who push it against the bud and they are happy.

Yes top of the bowl. Hmm, I have never actually measured but if I had to guess I would say 2tsps lightly compressed.

I usually grind up a small pile, about the size of a half dollar coin when spread out in a pile on the table. This gives a light pack all the way to the top rim of the bowl piece. I can usually pull two good bags off this. I can get a third but its lost most of its potency by that point.

this is what i do...i put two bowls worth of herb in the grinder. i grind it up well. then i put it in the filling chamber, then put chamber on volcano push air button and wait at least 5 sec or till i see vapor. i get 1 ok bag then no good after that. and yes it came with the bag on.

I had a few friends over months back, they consider themselves potheads. I give them bud so they have decent bud regularly.

I put 1/3 tsp and had one bag shared with them. Both had to stare at the wall for 5 minutes to be able to function enough to watch TV. I cannot imagine a 2 tsp bag. It must be done. Oh yes, it must be done!

Are your screens clean? Any build up at all?
How dark are your bags? Can you see though? (probably)

What's the quality of your bud? Do you grow your own?

okok i got mad and just threw in $10 worth of grade A stuff and im on my 5 good bag.....i guess my 2 bowl method wasn't working lol im ripppped.....but $670 idk,....
my temps start at 370 and work its way up
