Just wondering as we are on the eve of cannabis being..sorta...legal. Are you feeling in any way that it's us(you) against them?? In anyway you may feel?

For me I feel like my culture is being attacked. I'm NOT happy with this legalization plan and have little excitement over Oct 17th.

Cannabis was always ours.....the good and the bad included. Now the shoppers drug mart ladies want to sell you some. I'm rather disgusted....maybe it's just me.

I know there good and bad thing about this, but that's not my question. It's more broad than that...more of a yes or no overall feeling. I don't want to debate the issues...we do that in other threads.

What about you? You happy or not happy?

I'm both. Sad about the end of what has been a big part of my life - that, being a proud member of the old school cannabis culture 'rebel' and legalization activist. Maybe I'm a victim of my own (and millions of others) success...We finally achieved the legalization we dreamed of back in the 70's, and it comes with all sorts of catches.I'm a glass half full kinda guy so I don't think things will be as bad as some are predicting. It's fear of the unknown.
On the flip side, I'm excited to watch this whole experiment unfold. It's never been done on this scale and the world is watching a first. I'm excited to be able to walk down the street and smoke a joint freely. I'm excited to be thumbing my nose at those who marginalized me for cannabis use in the past. Hopefully the playing field levels and small craft growers take their rightful place in the market. NFLD goes live in less than 20 hours....

I think you may have missed the third option!
Which would be I don’t give a rats ass where the hipster stock market guys buy their schwag

Also think anyone claiming that the weed culture is inherently theirs is part of the problem with the lp licences mindset.

Legal or not nothing really changes for the majority of us tbh

I am 64 now.........smoking since university days, way back when........med permits for ten years plus.........and I do not feel like anything changes as of tomorrow. I will never buy LP/government weed. Have not paid for smoke since the days of good black hash from our Lebanese friends was all that you could get here on the East Coast. I grow my own. I smoke my own. Life is good.

I am excited of the thought of legal cannabis but worried with what the new nanogram system for driving. I really hope that gets taken out
I haven't had a hoot since Thanksgiving, I'm going to sit back and watch to see how rediculous this driving thing goes. My lively hood depends on my license and I'm guessing my blood levels are still well above 5 nanograms
