Message from Jack's wife, Jeannie:

10/25/09

Thank you so much to all of you who have been hoping and praying for Jack's recovery. Most of you know that Jack had a heart attack at Portland Hempstalk on September 12. There was no ambulance at the festival and he suffered anoxic brain damage due to lack of oxygen. He didn't wake up for 10 days. The doctors didn't have any hope for him but he started improving a little each day after he woke up. He's now able to do things they thought would be impossible, such as feel pain and track with his eyes. He's purposefully moving his left arm and trying to speak. I'm sure it's because he was taking concentrated hemp oil every day for more than a year before this happened. It's a neural protectant.

We're now in Eugene, Oregon. Jack's in a skilled nursing facility where he is receiving physical/speech/occupational therapy. I know this is going to be a long, slow process but please don't give up hope. He makes subtle improvements every day. He's going to need a lot of love and support to get through this.

I want to thank all of you again who have been sending positive energy our way. I can't tell you how much it means to us.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to respond to everyone who has called and emailed asking how they can help. An account has been set up for donations to help with Jack's care at U.S. Bank. Just go to any branch and say you'd like to make a donation for Jack Herer.

Since Jack's injury I've been here in Oregon and my computer's been in California, and that's why I haven't been updating this website daily like I usually do. I just got my computer back, so now I'll be updating as usual.

Love,

Jeannie Herer

I bought some JH tonight when I have plenty of my own Purple Pinecone stash(which is great) to get baked and give my props out. Wow what a gift of being wrong. By best wishes go out to the Herer family.
