Jesus og, Mickey kush, dr. Who, quantum kush

This will be my first journal, so go easy on me.

I have started 5 Mickey kush, 5 Jesus og, 5 dr. Who and 2 quantum kush(a tga tester pack)

I will make weekly or bi monthly postings and a review at the end for all those considering tga gear. I will post pics to go along with it once everything pops.

This will be an organic run with around 2,000 watts. 7 gal pots with happy frog as a base and my own super soil mix of different guanos and worm castings. I will be more specific as time goes by and I figure out all the specifics. Let me know if anyone has any questions!

These are seeds that I bought at the cup in denver this year. Along with what I'm popping now, I also picked up time wreck, pennywise and blue mountain kush. Thanks to the tga team for hooking it up!

I'm adding three timewrecks and one more quantum just for kicks. Might as well. I've also decided on advanced iguana for bloom along with a few other select ingredients. This will be a pheno hunt for the outdoor season next year. Hopefully I find some keepers!

Here is some background info on the strains:

timewreck: bloodwreck X vortex
quantum kush: sweet Irish kush X timewreck
jesus og: hell's og X Jack the Ripper
dr. Who: mad scientist X timewreck
Mickey kush: sweet Irish kush X jack the ripper

They should be popping in the next day or so, I'll post some pics of the GIRLS when they all show up.

Ps I'm doing a cold germ at around 67 degrees. I've had success in the past with female rates with this method, so this will put it to the test. As soon as they pop they'll go under 5000k lights for a few days and then under 2600 watts. I plan on vegging for around a month and a half.

Sounds like a nice selection :)

Got any pics? Put some seed pics up on the seed pic thread in my sig if you have the chance.

Picked up some TGA at the LA Cup in Feb. Been so busy I haven't had time to start them yet. Got some RD Scott's OG too.

Cheers, Mo

I was considering doing that. There were some real beauties in there, but some not so "beautiful" as some would say. I've had beautiful phenos show from tiny "immature" seeds, but I don't think immaturity was the case here. It seems that some of the timewreck crosses are just on the smaller side of things. Some of the other ones were beautifully marked and massive and are already breaking open. Ill try to post some seed pics if I don't plant them all first! :)

Hey mo, happen to know how to post pics with an iPhone? My computer isn't working atm.

GERM:
100% except for the quantum kush. They aren't looking like they're going to pop. I'm going to give them some more time but it isn't looking in their favor.

Mickey kush and dr. Who seem to be the first ones up. I think the timewreck would have been the first to pop, had I not started them late. Everything is looking good!

All seedlings are under 5000k lights for the time being, and as soon as I can clear my tomatoes out of my veg, they'll be going under a 600 and then to a thousand. Ill be using lumatek ballasts for my 1000's and quantums for my 600 veg. I'm thinking about new bulbs for my 1000's, any input? I was probably going with ushios for hps but I want to get mh bulbs also so I can veg under the 1000's. let me know what brand you guys think for both.

I am happy to report 100% germination. The quantums were the last to germ and they are finally poking through the soil.

Everything is looking healthy and they are all under the 600 for now. Soon I will put them under a 1000 for a month and then into flower! I'm probably going with 5 gallon pots for this run as it is a pheno hunt. I will post pics as soon as I get my computer running.

Does anyone have any info on any of these strains? Please share any knowledge of their feeding habits or anything you might know of them. Does anyone have any expirienece with hell's og? I've never ran it and I can't find much info on it. What is the leaf structure?

It's been a while, and an interesting challenge so far.

I have my new room dialed in pretty well, temps are 70-72 at night and 76 in the day. This is the temp range that all plants tend to be enjoying with lack of co2.

Im running all plants with the exception of 2 in #10 pots. The other two are in old 15 gallon containers.

Everything is looking great and I'm expecting a very nice result.

I ended up choosing 11 plants out of the 30 or so seeds I planted. I had 100% germ rates and the male to female ratio was really good. I got 7 females from Jesus, 2 females from timewreck (out of a 5 pack) 5 females from mickey kush (out of 5 seeds planted, excellent rate from her) 1 pennywise (out of 1 seed planted) and the worst m to f ratio was with Dr. Who and quantum kush. Unfortunately I got zero females from quantum out of a five pack, although all germed and all were beautiful strong males. 3 of 5 of them showed beautiful purple everywhere and bled purple. Really interesting. The Dr. Who had a slightly better ratio with 3 females out of a ten pack.

I would like to state again that all were germed at around 67-70 degrees and I usually have a more consistent female rate. In the case of the quantum kush and dr who, I'm not certain what caused the low female rate. Considering the others were almost ALL females, I assume it could be attributed to the trainwreck's "possible hermaphroditism and male dominance" that I've heard about with other breedings of the strain. Who knows. It could have also been outside stress that I might have caused or maybe it was luck of the draw, which I assume is more likely the case. You can't have ALL the ladies all the time.

I would like to discuss each strain quickly and my experience thus far with them up to day 20 of flower. 8 were vegged almost exactly 2 months, and the other three were vegged about a month because I planted more seeds halfway through veg.

DR WHO
Im enjoying her the most. The one female I chose to flower out ATM is really beautiful. Definitely the runt of the garden. She has a wonderful sweet donuty fruity smell that I can tell will be something special when it's said and done. She is showing super thin leaves and a stretchy structure, but her smell is to die for. She's the strongest smelling in the whole garden ATM. I have two more females in veg right now for the next round, but I don't see as much potential in them. This one is special and I know it.

Mickey kush
The mickeys are coming along nicely and are the most vigorous. I chose to flower out 3 of the 5 that I planted (all were female). They all share a similar smell of the finest sweet kush but one also smells like grapes. It's only day 20 and its already a fully developed sweet grape smell. She's also showing some purple tendencies. At the moment the mickeys are the frostiest plants in the garden and I've never seen so much resin so early, which leads me to my next strain.

JESUS OG
Jesus is looking fantastic. I have four Jesus in flower ATM and 2 more ready to come in. One female I didn't like and the other two were very slow veggers so I will flower them next round. I have two very special phenos right now that I will be running again for sure. One is looking like the most og plant you've ever seen and the other is looking like a perfect blend of ripper and hell's. The frostiest plant is Jesus number two. Ill post a pick of her. I'm very impressed with this strain so far.

Timewreck
I'm loving timewreck right now. She is the most lime smelling plant ever. Every super crop would lead me to smelling my fingers for several minutes. Both phenos look pretty similarly in structure but one has thinner leaves. She should be a top yielder too.

Pennywise
I'm in love with this plant. Super stocky and and smells identical to powdered sugar donuts. You've heard of cookies? I've got donuts lol. She looks to be a good yielder also. Does anyone know anything about the different phenos of pennywise? I was expecting lemons and I got donuts. When life gives you donuts...

anyway, ill post more when I learn more about them. Thanks for reading and I hope this helps anyone in search of info on these wonderful strains.

It's the first day of week seven in flower and I wanted to make a few comments on what I have observed so far.

Mickey kush:
these plants are all showing nice phenos with candy sweet smells and nice production. Every pheno I ended up flowering has shown amazing potential and I will be flowering them all again before I pick the keeper.

Pheno #1: she is the biggest girl in the garden and has shown excellent early finishing qualities and great production with rock hard flowers. She smells like super sweet lemonade and a type of "sun screeny" smell. Really nice.

Pheno 2: she is looking to be the keeper of the whole garden so far. Huge top flowers with giant secondary buds and great branching. Rock hard flowers and completely encrusted with resin. She is by far the most resinous plant I've ever seen. She smells like amazing sweet kush and she is also showing super early finishing capabilities. Her hairs are about 80% red and her trichs are roughly 90% milky, 5% clear, and about 5% amber last night (last night of week 6). Loving her.

Pheno 3: this girl is probably the smelliest girl ever in my gardens. She has small, rock flowers that smell like rotten grapes and cream with a hint of sweet lilac. A truly magnificent smell. She could have a better yielding capability if done better. She is also super frosty, right on par with the other mickeys that are dominating the resin game right now.

Jesus og:
pheno 1: she's looking pretty good. Probably my least favorite girl. Has a great lemon smell and dense, good sized flowers.

Pheno 2: she will be my keeper jesus. Amazing resin production and a dark, chocolate and sugar kush smell. Huge flowers and rock hard. She is also finishing super early. Her trichs are already 10% amber but she needs longer flush as its only been a week, so ill be taking her about a week longer. I've never had a plant finish so early! The other phenos are really nowhere near this one in terms of finished. She could be commercially ready in 7 weeks for sure. My FOR SURE keeper.

Pheno 3: she is the girl that I feel represents the hell's the most (although I've never smoked, grown, or even seen it in person) and I think this because It has small rock hard flowers that are balls on sticks with almost zero side branching. She needs staking and sounds exactly as subcool describes hell's "a pos clone". Lol. I'm going to run her again because the flowers look and smell amazing but what a lanky og for real.

Pheno 4: this girl hasn't enjoyed her life very much in my hot soil and was the only girl to show any sensitivity to it. She is ending up ok but not what I want. I won't be running her again.

Timewreck:
pheno 1: this girl is massive with huge flowers and barely any stretch. Her leaves look identical to her bloodwreck mother as pictured in the book of dank. She has the distinct trainwreck smell and she's looking to be a longer finisher, maybe 10 weeks. I will be running her again as my partner loves the biscuits and gravey smell.

Pheno 2: I'm pretty sure this is my vortex dominant pheno although I've never grown vortex. She is really tall with axing structure and is looking like she'll put on some 20 gram colas. Straight stacked girl. She could be the ultimate yielder of the garden and ill will for sure be running her again. She has an amazing rotten fruit smell that I'm loving. Anyone grow vortex? Is she taller and more sativa dominant? She doesn't smell like any trainwreck I've ever had, unlike the other timewreck which smells EXACTLY like the other trainwreck I've had.

Dr. Who

i have one pheno I'm running for now and she is amazing. Small plant but stacked buds like the timewreck 2 that I have. She smells identical to skittles. Like if one was blind folded, one would think this dr who was skittles over actual skittles. No lie. She seems to be a slower finisher, but who cares? Lol

pennywise: wow! What a stacker! She is looking like a fast finisher and a good yielder. She smells like donuts also, which is amazing. Ill probably have this cut around for a long time to come. She's resin packed and that smell is to die for.

Hey thanks for watching bro. The Jesus is an incredible plant with amazing og potential. My keeper is looking to finish in 49-56 days and it has giant golf ball nugs with that unmistakeable og funk. The ten pack I popped had several phenos that I would normally keep but with all the other tga dankness, I don't have room in my garden for them all!

As soon as I harvest ill post a smoke report and a few pics of the finished results. It's looking to be a delicious harvest!
