Jerry's Perpetually Organic Garden

There's your answer. You've probably unlocked the thai genetics hidden in that plant by the looks of things. That would account for the insane flowering time. I'm currently running Casey Jones and mine is done in nine weeks, yielding 4oz+ per plant. It really is lovely smoke. Everything else looks nice, though I'd say you need to water a little more often, they shouldn't get to the point of wilting or you stress them too much. FWIW
I'm usually pretty good about keeping everyone watered, but I've been pretty lax with the Casey in particular because it just irritates me and takes up a ton of space. I actually removed it from the tent this morning...it's been well over 12 weeks now and it looks about the same as it did a month ago. I checked out some trichs today and they were mostly cloudy with an amber here or there, but the pistils are still 90% white. I think I'm over the entire plant though and will just hang on to the other seeds until I can plant some outdoors. Probably going to harvest it soon and make some butter with it...I'll save a little bud to dry and cure normal that I can vaporize down the line, but I'm just over it.

I would love to try a 9 week Casey Jones though, and maybe one day I will...

I'm going to clone my Sour and Tahoe OGs...:leaf:

Yeah the Casey is a crazy sativa I grew it out in veg (a lil slow) but ended up giving it to a friend who flowered it and turned out to be some dank smoke! The only problem that I can see is the bucket size. I have the same problem with my blue cheese one is really airy and doesn't seem like it will ever fill out and then the others which are smaller in the same size bucket is dense. How big is the bucket that the Casey is in and how tall is the plant it's self?

7x7x9...441 cubic inches...like 1.9 gallons or something. I think it has less to do with pot size and more with genetics. I have 7 or 8 more to play with down the line.

I chopped the Casey a couple days ago. It was too big and I was frustrated with it. My girl trimmed the entire plant over 7 hours. If the buds could have just filled in a bit quickly maybe it would have been holding on to. Hopefully the other seeds are better.

The buds did have enough resin to warrant saving though. I plan to use a large chunk of it with my vaporized dregs and some trim to make some killer butter for the holidays. I am going to save some buds though, as they can easily be shoved into the vaporizer. Unfortunately that's about all it will be good for.

I'll try and get some new pics of the garden soon.

Looking good in here Jer bear!

I have been holding back on pulling the trigger on the Cali stuff through Attitude as I can't find the Larry OG, which sounds real sweet to me. If your stuff keeps looking good I might just give in and grab the Tahoe or one of the others.

Here are some pics from this morning.

Critical Jack, 3rd Generation, 2nd Plant...flowering for under a month.

Quite wide. This plant is in one of my 3.5 gal 9x9x10 pots.

Vanilla Kush. Stretched a ton. But has some behemoth fan leaves!

She's only a couple weeks into flower as well.

Afghan Kush, 2nd Generation. About 7 weeks in.

Next, Reserva Privada OG Kush

Critical Jack, 3rd Generation, Plant 1. This one is in the smaller 7x7x9 (1.9 gallon) pots and started flowering about 10 days before the other one shown above.

Jack the Ripper, First Generation. Stretched a bit from the little squat plant pictured in my last big update...

Critical Jack, 2nd Generation, ~10 weeks in and ready for harvest in the next few days!

LSD, 6th(?) Generation, ~10 weeks and ready to harvest as well!

Finally, Pineapple Chunk, 2nd Generation, ~10 weeks and ready for chop. Actually I've already snipped a few buds from this and the Critical Jack 2nd Generation that were a little too unwieldy.

I started the Tahoe and Sour's on 12/12 this morning. JTR and Vanilla Kush clones have rooted.

I was a bit mistaken about the dates of the plants...let's recap.

Critical Jack 2, Pineapple Chunk 2, and LSD are all 70 days since 12/12 (began flower 9/14).
Afghan Kush is 48 days (began flower 10/6)
OG Kush is 42 days (began flower 10/12)

As far as aroma...it all depends. The LSD has such an overwhelming odor that sometimes it's all I can smell in the tent. The Pineapple is almost a rotting fruit moldy cheese smell, but isn't too strong unless you're up close. The Critical Jack is maybe the closest thing I have to perfect smelling and tasting marijuana. It is sweet and smooth and fruity and once it gets on your hands you just want to smell them constantly for hours. As I said before, open a bag of skittles and take a deep breath, and that is what the CJ smells and tastes like. Just killer.

The Afghan Kush has a far different odor...more like a temple hash smell. Not at all like the OG or any other kush I've had for that matter. It's supposed to be a landrace strain and I though I know very little about the region, this plant is short and stout and packs on weight, which seems perfectly suited to life in a the Kush mountains of Afghanistan...

JTR and VK have no odor yet really, though both are finally moving past their nascent flowering stretch, so I expect that to change soon.

Lookin nice Jerr. So, who is your reining queen of the ball? LSD is my favorite smoke so far followed by Red Dragon. I would like to see you grow a RD...I think you would like it. Plus it makes beautiful flowers...SL2

Man I see You use a 600 watt hps and those look like 3 gallon Pots ...Am I right?? The reason I ask Is cause I grow under 600 watt hps and I use those same 3 gallon white square pots. But Your Yields Blow Mine away!! Could Your elaborate on the Technique You use and when You begin and when You Stop applying them.I was really impressed with The whole show Man Good job and Keep it up!!

It's hard to say at the moment which is my favorite. Probably the Critical Jack...it just has a perfect taste/smell/high. But the Pineapple Chunk is pretty nasty too...cheesy and fruity and goes straight to my head. And the Afghan is devastating...definitely not the type of smoke-and-go-be-productive bud. The LSD has been in the garden a while and is really fabulous too. I like having a variety of strains on hand to suit my mood, so each has a place.

LSD is lookin tasty
Thanks, she is definitely a winner. This is probably the most resinous generation of LSD I have grown to date.

Most of my pots are actually 1.9 gallon (7"x7"x9"), but since my flower space expanded I've begun incorporating 9x9x10 pots that are 3.5 gallon.

As far as technique...I'm a big proponent of training or LST or tying down or whatever you want to call it. I simply bend the stem over and tie it down until I have reached my desired level of branching, which differs for each plant. You want to get those lower branches even with the main stem so you have the maximum amount of apical growing tips reaching the canopy, which is where the majority of light falls on an indoor garden. (This is really designed for indoor grows because artificial lights don't have the same penetration as the sun).

For soil, I use my own little mixture, which changes slightly depending on availability. I start with a peat-based medium like biobizz light mix, sunshine mix or metro mix (which I am using now). All have very little nutrients to begin with, which is what I want. Then I add worm castings...LOTS of worm castings. Sometimes close to 45% of the final mix, but usually around 1/3. Next I add a little Fox Farm Light Warrior...about 1/5 the final mix. This stuff is basically there to provide perlite (it has lots of big and chunky perlite and is very airy, though it does contain mycorrhizae and other good things that build a healthy soilless mix). I then add high-Nitrogen bat guano...I really like Blue Mountain Organics guano, but it is only available seasonally. I'm using sunleaves mexican guano now and it STINKS compared the BMO stuff, which had no smell at all. In a recent batch I added some high-Phosphorous guano I had lying around, but I can't remember which plants got it. I add to this some Hydroorganics brand mycorrhizae (not sure it does anything but I use it anyway) and some garden lime to balance PH so I never have to check soil ph or anything I put in it!

As for nutrients, I just alternate giving water only one feeding then nutrients (General Organics line) the next. I also give a steady amount of veg nutrients with the bloom, as plants still need a good amount of nitrogen in flower. I stop feeding about 2 weeks before harvest and give only water from there on out.:leaf:

I harvested the LSD and Pineapple 2 a couple days ago...they are drying at the moment. Critical Jack 2 is coming down as soon as I find somewhere to dry it.

Gotta go get more jars...:weed:

It's a problem everyone should have!

My pineapple looks and smells and smokes great, but the yield is just not quite where I want it. Maybe I can keep the nodes a bit tighter in the next generation...

The Casey Jones vegged the same amount of time as the first generation Critical, Afghan and Pineapple. I don't remember now how long that was, but probably around a month or so. And the Casey was in flower something like 16 weeks before I lost all patience with it. Too bad too, because it smells pretty nice in the jar. I'm gonna pack some in the vape for the first time since harvest...

On a totally unrelated side note, I'm thinking about starting a few seeds I have laying around! Soma NYC Diesel, Soma Somango and a throwback Barney's Blue Cheese!
