I can't believe it...it is a really bad news!
It increase the price by 10 $ each cob for those who want to buy only 4 cxb to build a 200w panel...so now it is 60 $ a cxb unless you buy more...
Jerry is going to loose small customers...not good for prices...
And by the way, I get my cxb with China post in 2 weeks in a very nice package...
I presume it is because you get it in the mail box and no signature is required so maybe too many people didn't get stuff...or did but try to get the double! And now we lost the cheapest way to get a few top bin cob...F..K that!
Now we must buy more...

Ok $40 shipping DHL for 4x COBs was a little on the steep side, but TBH I am so sick of "China Post". I am often ordering smaller stuff from China, ebay etc. and it always takes a month or more. And not sure whether I'd trust China post for shipments of rather expensive LEDs...

Bonjour
I would like to know how it can be 40$ for 4cob + holders...so 10$ each...and "only" 10$ more for a driver...!
I wonder how much I will have to pay for 10 cob + holders and 2 or 3 drivers...???...570$ + ??? (And I hope I will be able to pay with Western Union!...to avoid paypal tax (27 $!)

Shipping is likely $40 flat (TNT or DHL), so whether you buy 1, 5 or 10 doesn't matter, I guess package size and weight would be similar whether you buy 4 or 10. (It's not that a COB led weighs a ton or something :)) I am almost certain that shipping would also be $40 when you buy 10 COBs.

Shipping costs with drivers I don't know, you have to ask him. Of course shipping depends on weight and size of package. (Driver is heavier...)

Paypal fee for me was 4,5% or something from total price, so $11 and some change.

Whats yoru shipping rate to the states? Unless its dirt cheap, Jerry is still the goto man. We all like competition, but not sense in paying more for the same thing.

YOU are ordering abroad, YOU are responsible for importing items. why should an australian shop include european vat!? you DO know how a tax system usually works, right?
He is saying that Jerry will "Fudge" the declared price for help with VAT, Maybe to make up for charging the customer the Paypal fees and high shipping?

No I am not sure how it works...cause if I shop outside EU sometimes you paid vat to the site...like tme.com or even mouser who have prices for EU residents and sometimes it is not vat include and the shipping company make you paid vat...so it is a little bit confuse to me...?!?
I guess it was our responsibility to declare it or not...

As an individual in any EU country (=un particulier européen)

Buy in the EU => you pay the sellers country VAT (you pay it to the seller, he pays it to his state)
Buy outside the EU => Seller pays no VAT, you don't pay the seller any VAT. You pay YOUR COUNTRY VAT + IMPORT DUTY (usually)

You need to calm down, use google, and some critical thinking...not talking about just here too.
Jerry's coat tails aren't the ones being ridden.

To calm down??????
Do you have a problem with me?!!
Et toi tu peux tout comprendre si je me
met a écrire en français...? ? J'ai pas envie de me prendre la tête a traduire une tartine longue comme le bras bourrée de thermes technique...voila
And if answer me put you in this state...don't please! I didn't ask you!
Have a great day ★
Don't take it the wrong way, I have nothing against you either (sure GG has nothing against you)

BUT :
You claim (tu affirmes) :

=> This forum is great and has a lot of knowledge and people you can ask. => I say : True !
=> French speaking forums are useless, and hold no knowledge. => I say : Usually those forums are sticter on asking for people to check existing topics before asking any random question that pops up to mind. Keeps it clean for those who do their research ..
=> You're acting a bit like a french gold fish, swimming around, asking to be spoonfed "facts" and opinions, and you check NOTHING in terms of facts/proof, pre existing topics or available knowledge ... Why bother when you can just ask, and not verify ... :wall:

You should understand that just because you don't get warned/banned here for doing no research at all (ie like on some french forums), doesn't mean everyone approves of these ways ... It gets tiring for some ...

My order was over 299AUS and I chose Australian Mail for free (to Seattle).

Unbeleivable !

See ! That's a good example => even when someone tells you a simple sentence, you don't even try to comprehend what you should extract/understand ... :

When not specified otherwise ... SEATTLE is usually in Washington state USA, ie next to the canadian border on the west coast, last time I checked, that's not in Australia
