Jackson shop raided last night?

I am waiting for the work of such to begin , but I dont know why they would raid in the hours of the night .. Usually they prefer to have coffee and Doughnuts in the Am before kicking doors in and smashing shit !

I live in jackson, haven't heard of this raid and didn't know kaya provisions center existed....

I wondered how long it would take for them to start....

now that I search Mlive I can see why. There was a parent at the ABC acedemy next dorr that had her panties in a twist about it being so close. She threw here fit and got her way. she lived in albion and put her kid at the daycare, this daycare has plenty of liquor stores right next to it as well but she was pitching a fit about the med mary spot so as soon as the oportunity arose they started with that one. She also lied about the establishment to mlive. no vapor lunge, she said there was. it'll be people like her that get the wheels of "justice" a turnin' in the wrong direction.

I enquired on their facebook page, they have a post that says they will be closed today due to unforseen circumstances but that's as vague as vague gets....I'll share any info I get. I hope this isn't true; to give a few people with wild ideas and perceptions about the MM community the power to shit down a business is a sad, sick thing. Thanks SC, you've done wonders for safe access. Pricks.

OK, kaya confirms thru their facebook page that they were raided last night. I also heard from another disp. owner in jackson that they are also going to be shut down along with all of the other places in jackson. Tonight there is a meeting that I will have to attend on paige ave (exact address isn't known to me right now I'm riding with a friend) about the actions being taken. I hope we can show some outrage and some serious numbers in protest of this action. I was very hopeful that we could be a guiding light for other townships showing that there isn't a need to act irrationally as far as law enforcement is concerned but hope is hope and reality is reality and the reality is that we are now on the front lines like it or not. Dispensary owners were both making a living and helping people. This is being threatened now. I am compelled to go to this meeting and any other like it to make a stir, push back so to speak. I for one won't make this easy. I had very high hopes to make a living at this. it's my love, it's my passion and it's my favorite thing to do; there is nothing Id rather do to make a living and I am good at it too. Enough ranting on the interweb, I have to take some action-I feel like my blood is one fire!

Weird that the woman complains about a med marijuana place. There are cigarette and liquor places close to day cares and learning centers all the time.

Doesn't mean the kid is gonna get any.

I wish I was closer and able to attend and support .. But I live in the Northern Woods where Dispensaries were never allowed to due many moratoriums

got this quote from another forum. So take it with a grain of salt. But it would make sense..

If Kaya was the subject of a criminal warrant those individuals exiting and entering prior to the bust would have been detained while LEO was establishing perimeter security. Best advice would be to follow orders and remain silent IMO

Kaya was raided. "Sale from Kaya to a patient unconnected through the states registry" was alleged and warrents were signed. Employees were detained and questioned and comments were made that "not one dispensary will be left standing", though through what process that may happen is unclear, the obvious is that local enforcement is acting on the latest ruling dispite what they said. "Federal investigation pending" according to employees.
