Did you call him "Mr. Stubbs" or something?
I said something along the lines of, "with all due respect sir I don't see how you're in a position to point out flaws."

It was a good play on words and it made the first Sgt laugh and that pissed the It Col off.

I got extra duty polishing jet engine cowls for 4 hours a day for a week after shift was over. We were 12-14 hours a day because we were shirt handed.

I had to pick myself up off the floor to reply to this. That is hilarious! Every single person who heard that must tell that story at family gatherings (except for lt. col. nubbins)! Funny AF.

A trained loyal attack skunk... I think you're on the cusp of the next wave of home protection. The perps are easily ID'd after they flee...

Tame that skunk!
LOL

I had 5 of them living under my shed earlier this year- a mama and 4 little ones. Sorry to hear you got ripped-off btw. Set yourself up a trip line connected to a cowbell.

Fantasy: if you could hand feed the babies they would "imprint" you as their mother and always be faithful to you...
Reality: Wow, that sucks. So far we've just had raccoons and opossums, skunks are a whole other ball game.

Not sure what the deal is, but we haven't had any skunks in my part of NW Florida for the last 25 years. Maybe the influx of coyotes about that same time?

Are the Burmese Pythons making it north? Or is that just an Everglades phenomenon?
You hear about one making the trip north on a truck axle once in a while, but I haven't heard of any breeding this far north. My old next door neighbors moved to Homestead with the National Guard. Him and his wife go out in the glades and catch pythons. Our local paper did a story on them. They catch them at night and take them to the fish and wildlife folks, who kill them and cut them open to study what they are eating. {and to check for eggs}

City south of me had a pet snake last year, name her wessie. Python supposedly. People made fucking shirts and beer cozies...
Was a fad though, Pythons don't survive in 3 feet of snow very well, so they say at least.

Caught a big friggin skunk on video last night, then a smaller one a couple of hours later
Now if you can box them up and ship them to the guy that was having problems with the neighbours.

I'm smoking some of my purple swazi tonight for the first time. Outdoor harvests are so satisfying. You feel like you beat the odds again. Even more so this having been a winter grow. I trusted my instincts and the weather played along. Nice having sticky fingers for a change.
