Dewaxing
just a couple quick questions.
Which is superior in your opinion?
Iso Or 190 ec
Hopefully an educated opinion.

I want to use my freezer but do not want an explosion.
I plan to place all the freezing/straining alchol containers inside large ziplock bags.
Good enough?

If not do you see a downside to using dry ice in a cooler.?
Im worried it may get too cold if that is even possible.

Thanks

Are the methods the same with both? Quick wash, strain and evaporate? Also, is it safer to consume using 190?

I just did a bubble bag run and didn't yield nearly as much as I thought I would. I think it's mostly because of this strain, what I did yield was SUPER sticky (almost unworkable) it has to be put in the freezer just to work with it. I got almost as much out of the ISO I was using to clean the bag as I did from the actual Run

They are essentially done the same way yes. And yes it is safer to consume technically. But you have to remember, when you evap, your evaporating all the alcohol (ethanol or ISO) so they are both safe. But ya you can take a shot of Everclear 190 proof while you can't take one with ISO so technically safer lol.

I get great shatter with 95.5% ABV. I think a lot of folks here use it to winterize. A person so inclined could make their own. Otherwise, I think it is not a bad investment to purchase some Everclear.
