iso kills lungs help

I used the same quick wash as I did last time except this time I use 99%
Used way better quality product and was forced to fan dry outside in a cold shed.

I couldn't afford the 30$ hash bowl to put in the bong so I bought a little crack pipe looking thing that is bent and fits in the bong. Heated glass with a regular lighter and started to go for it.
Then POW it took my breath away for a long time.
If I tried to inhale air I had another coughing fit at least 5-10 min. The other thing is this stuff smells super like urine or I guess you could say pine. Gets you hammered but hurts.

I used all cold product quickly washed it over. Filtered and air dried until it was crispy but gooey.

I`m not an oil smoker but I know there is a problam and after googling I think it is either the expectirent nature of tch and it being super concentrate or the thin glass pipe aint cutting it even though it is being drawn threw water. Anyway what do you think I should try before smoking it like this?

Vaporize it.

Sounds like you have too much chemical residue left over from your iso alcohol hash making. Some people don't dry it out in the air, they burn off the alcohol with a match, or you can boil it in a double boiler until the alcohol basically boils off into vapor, but you have to watch the temp or there goes your hash potency as that can start to vaporize too. One of the best methods to making homemade hash is the bag method where you use ice and water and progressively smaller screens each bag you use. This helps keep the chemicals off the hash, but takes way more time to process and of course then you need to air dry for like a day or so afterwords (or use a fan on low like I did for only about 6-8 hours). If you want a faster method that compares to the iso method, look into using CO2 or nitrogen (if you're a risk taker and if you can get some liquid nitrogen).

So could I just spread it this and air dry a few times or is it just garbage due to being a health hazard.

I just stirred it this morning and can smell tons of alcohol but now it is in oil form. if I cant find a way to gas it off I`m sure edibles are still a valid option

BHO is the oil you really want to make - not ISO

Heating it on a saucer in my crock-pot and stirring. Not letting it get too hot. I can tell it is working it just may take forever, lol

How long did you let it soak in ISO for?

Personally it sounds like you soaked it for too long in ISO which will leave a dark oil thats very harsh and tastes like ass but gets you ripped. Ive run ISO, freezing both the weed and ISO for days in a deep freezer, washing it in the frozen ISO for 10seconds(20sec max) and then evaporating it off with a fan. It came out slightly dark golden and was pretty smooth.

Spread it in a thin layer on a sheet of glass. Keep in a dark dust-free place (cabinet? drawer?) for a week or so. The solvent will slowly "bake off". Gather your goo with a razor blade. Jmo. cn

It is a mostly transparent brownish now with a few dark areas. It was all very dark until I spent several hours
letting it bubble under mild heat. I did 2 runs of the same material.
First run all was frozen and fast the second I shook and let it sit a little.
I still got 2.6g from the second run.
Towards the end instead of stirring to pop the bubbles I started periodically using my torch lighter about 3 inches away
and passing VERY quickly over the surface and they popped instantly. I just kept repeating that until I`m happy with the result. I hope my stupidity may help someone in the future. I imagine I could have just used more iso to separate this shit and started over.

The best way is to make sure all your trim or bud has been put in the freezer over night, as well as the same for your ISO. You need as much ISO to completely cover your plant material. So it depends on how much plant material you have. 6 minutes is all you need and you need a mixer or you'll just have to manually stir it all. You can use any kind of coffee filter to separate the liquid from your plant material. Throw that shit on the stove and keep on stirring it until the alcohol boils off. Check your temp, as alcohol boils at around 176F and THC will start to vaporize at around 392F. Make sure you have plenty of ventilation. Doing this outside is preferred.

Final update. Ran some in a bong with water and ice and it was not harsh. Lesson learned x2
1 If you use solvents be VERY sure they are gone.
2 Do not smoke oil from a crack pipe.
And uh kids don't smoke crack. I certainly do not!

Lesson #3: Use Everclear instead of ISO for a more quality product which actually is tasty. The difference between QWISO and QWET (Quick Wash Ethanol) is night and day, like swag vs dank.

Or pony up 50 bucks for a decent bubble bag set on amazon. But ever clear is better than iso.

Bubble bags, ISO, BHO, and Everclear all make great product if done correctly.

It's a tradeoff. Bubble hash is pure trichomes if done right. A qwiso on leaf and trim will be contaminated with other lipids. You can make good bubble (in lowered yield) from grade-B feedstock ... and great bubble from best sugar trim andor bud.
The supreme extract I've made is a hydrocarbon extract of bubble hash. You ditch the 10ish per cent of cellulose that makes up a separated trichome. Not a good yield starting from weed, but oh my the quality.
Since the starting material has no waxes or other icky extractables (unlike leaf and even bud) you can use an ordinarily unsuitable solvent. Acetone works and will evaporate on its own with much more ease than either ethyl or isopropyl alcohol, and as easily as my favored light hydrocarbons. Jmo. cn

I dunno, but a concentrate made with acetone sounds pretty nasty.

That's not true at all. Some forms of residue are definitely worse than others. Quantity isn't everything.
