Here's an easy way Too do iso that I kinda like,hope this helps someone.

Pic one is the stuff.
pic two is laying the piece of 120 silkscreen in the bowl,make sure no plant material slops through into the bowl .
pic three is the plant material dried out and broken down somewhat,just crumbled by hand is all.Not trying to make it into powder as that will get through the screen.
pic four is how much material goes into the jar.
pic five is how much iso I put in the jar.
pic six is the jar dumped into the bowl after shaking vigorously for 45 seconds,I use a watch.
I kinda swoosh the screen around in the iso with the material submerged for a couple secs to let the trichs settle through the screen a bit.Then wad it all up and squeeze the iso out into the bowl,squeeze it like you fucking hate it.I also use the same iso to rinse multiple jars in a run,thicker is better to a certain extent.
pic seven is the bowl going under a fan for a day or so to evap off,never,ever use heat.
See ya in a day or so too scrape out the bowl and have a looksee..........laters. ​

I'm a noob and don't have much experience at this. But I have a couple questions here, thank you.

How did you roll the iso-hash into a nice neat ball?

I just harvested, and would I have to cure or wait till the plant matter dries before making the Iso-hash?

Is there a chance that the iso-propyl will not completely evaporate? What step's can't I take to ensure all isopropyl has evaporated? I'm kinda scared of ingesting isopropyl?

I've made the sublingual tinicture before using everclear and that worked like a charm. How does Iso-hash extraction compare to alcohol extraction.

Can I still make a sublingual tincture from the iso-hash. I just like the idea of putting a couple drops of tincture under the tongue.

Can you please elaborate a little more on this step. after 60 seconds of which step are we talking about. I don't want chloraphyl in my has either it tastes somewhat bitter.

First of all, no you dont want to use the plant material in order to cook it with butter and make edibles. Why? Because the Alcohol stripped all the good stuff. Basically all you have now is grass that has been soaked in alcohol and the shit squeezed out of it. As for the other comment about how it doesnt sound good at all. The only reason it doesnt sound good is because you basically have a worthless weed now. Honestly it sounds about as good as cooked spinach. But the alcohol can be evaporated. In fact it is essential that you make sure all the alcohol is evaporated before trying to smoke ISOhash. Else it wont burn well, and itll taste nasty.

If you do it right, it should taste great. Be a darkish, and like a putty consistency. When you go to smoke it, itll melt down (on top of your weed, or I suppose all over the inside of your bowl) and start to smoke. It should produce VERY VERY LITTLE ash. Lots of smoke. I prefer for a wake and bake, or to top off some buds I already have.

1. Use your hands to roll it into a nice neat hash ball. The consistency should be that of soft putty. It can however be very hard too depending on how good your scuff was to start with. But either way it's still roll-able with your hands.
2. I would recommend letting your plants dry before doing the iso extraction. For the same reasons you dry your bud before you smoke it. Itll extract easier, I do however recommend doing a water wash and then drying your material before doing the alcohol wash.
3. There is always a chance when working with liquids that they wont be all evaporated. However the beautiful thing about isopropyl alcohol is that the only thing they mix it with is water, and it has a very low boiling temp. So I like to put my dish under a fan that way its always blowing air on it guaranteeing that itll be evaporated. If the film left on the drying dish is still wet, then give it more time. It WILL dry. I would not be scared of ingesting. If you are going to eat it, then there is too little alcohol that would be left for it to matter. If you are going to smoke it, any alcohol that would be left will be burnt off before it even gets to your lungs (I prefer smoking out of a bong for that extra filter ). But if there is alcohol left in it you will be able to smell it. Your hash should smell like the sweet herb you make it with when it is dry.
4. Ish-hash extraction uses the exact same principles as a booze extraction. The only difference is, you dont keep the plant material in the alcohol as long, and then you get rid of the alcohol (not by drinking it). The chemical reactions going on are the same though.
5. Not exactly sure what you mean on the last question. I would not re-use the plant material. And if you really want to go through the process of stripping out the THC (and other things that come out in ISO hash) and then take that ball you spent all that time getting the alcohol out of just to throw it in a different type of alcohol... Well my friend, that is all up to you, I am sure it'll work. Just not sure on the logic of it. Skip the step and just make the tincture like normal.

about 60 seconds of the alcohol wash the chlorophyll starts to leech out. I prefer washing small amounts of plant material, that way I can do a quick dump and get the alcohol out as fast as possible. I like my alcohol to look yellow before it starts to dry. Yeah chlorophyll does have a bitter(ish) taste to it. But unless you use a completely NON-POLAR substance to extract the tricomes then there is no way around getting some green in your ISO solution.

20 minute wash is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY too long. Try for 30-45 sec. 20 minutes will get you a lot of green chlorophyll, which tastes a little bitter. However it wont hurt you anymore than smoking the plant itself.
