One thing I'll say though is weed out the information, If you're wondering about your CFL's I'd ask in the CFL Grow Room, mostly because here you'll get some people insisting that you wont grow shit without at least a 400watt HID light system. It takes patients and a thick head before you'll get the answers you need at times.

So against my best judgement, I will venture onto another post and do a start/finish with all this crap for a mere 2 plants. I will post while on public internet access points. I will also take into advisory with polls on the next move. $800.00 into this thus far and I will admit I don't know shit. I do however have a aquatint who has over 30 years growing under his belt.. But he is very old.. But healthy as a mother fucker, and at age 82 and owns a powered parachute. In his own words, "I have never flown that contraption straight".. I sincerely hope that whatever happens, that we will all benefit from such a small and self propelled grow with amass of information to gain from a collective such as rollitup.org.

I am a disabled vet. I suffer from mass anxiety. The only time I can rest well is when I smoke. I hope to learn from each and every one of you as I have been reading for more than a month. God Bless!!!

My first grow I did two AK48 girls that made it to 34inches tall - all with a maximum of 8 CFLs! You will do fine with that many bulbs for two plants. My flowering CFLs were 42 watts each (x8 = 336watts total) and done with several 'y' splitters and extension cords...never had a problem with the setup - even after adding a few smaller 23watt bulbs to use for side fill. Those two plants gave over 2.5 ozs each, and it was some pretty decent smoke. If you keep the lights as close as the plants will allow, you can still get good bud from a CFL grow. Keep reading and asking questions...there are plenty of helpful people on here who know what they're talking about. FYI: If Uncle Ben posted it, you can be sure it's good information, so read his stuff when you find it.

it looks nice and very creative , but I can't help but feel that for what was spent on all the materials , you could have bought a small HPS light that produces more lumens and is less of a fire hazzard.

H dont listen to trolls man, but ya idk about the setup i mean it looks interesting but idk if you should have that many two sockets going into one another. You should get like an extension cord and plug them into that in a nice row and then leave the ones on the side those are fine. Other than that interesting setup
OK .... not a troll and before you tell other people not to listen to my posts you should do some research and learn what a T5 actually is... That way you might be able to impart some actual knowledge and not the sycophantic drivel you posted above.

peace

Don't be a dick !! For some people , this is a step forward to trying to do things positive. Regardless how effective it is, he gave it some thought and tried to come with a solution. Don't be a dick !

It's safe as long as you wired it right. I built a similar rig over a year ago and it's been running 24/0 with no problems. Listen to people who have actually built such things, instead of people who are afraid to. :D

Good luck man, your whole setup is nice!!!

You're the dick if you think your false praise means something. Also your above post is the most patronising thing I ever read regarding a newbie.

EDIT: The most patronising since your previous post.

Ok, been reading and reading in here. Built this lighting system and maybe I went a little nuts. Is this to much? All lights are 27 watts between 5000-6500k except the corner lights are 14 watts at 2700k for a full spectrum. Will replace 6500k with 2700 for bloom. But my question is, Do I have a hazard here? All these lights wired into one plug. Used standard lamp cord along with 16 AWG wire. This is for 2 plants in 2 buckets. Thanks for any help :)

16 total lights.
Hey! Looks a little like mine! Only yours has more lights...gotta go add more lights... :-)

Yep, survival of the fittest. Dipshits shouldn't attempt basic wiring, solid advice there. Maybe you should stick with your store-bought equipment, cheech.
