Another growers root staining
I'm sure some may cause staining, maybe in Dwc, but I wouldn't suspect it in a flood and drain or drain to waste. I've used gh flora for years, but never flora duo, flora nova or liquid karma. I do know people that do use nova, but in drain to waste, so the roots are white as can be. Dwc may be different though, I don't have experience with those products in Dwc.

I was thinking the same thing. I didn't get staining in flood/drain or drain to waste. Though I do now in RDWC

thanks for eveyones input. i have moved her into CoCo, she was suffering bad from the physan flush. The roots were firm, they were faily hard to break away. i think it was staining but there was also an infection setting in. i think it coule have been a result of water level too high, the roots clumped together like hair was my main concern of an infection.

I understand that creamy coloured roots are healthy yes? No smell (well I mean they have a very faint earthy smell to them), they don't break off and don't look slimy.

Yeah, clumpy roots isn't good either, they should easily pull apart, definitely a sign of infection of some sort starting it sounds like, good vibes on getting her fixed up

I have ran with and without bubbles and haven't had an issue yet. Though I do use Botanicare HydroGuard. Trust me, if you have root issues, this bacteria will solve it. Roots Excel has no Bacillus Amyloliquefaciens. Therefore there is no root protection. You can run root excel or rhizotonic, your roots love it, but it won't destroy the bad stuff, plus Bacillus Amyloliquefaciens improves nutrient uptake, including nitrogen, phosphate and potassium.
