Is this forming seeds?

Hi all,

Posting on behalf of a friend. We are both new to this. Does this look like it's seeds forming? Or could they just be swollen callyx? About 7 weeks into flower. Og kush. 2 plants under 600hps. Most heads look like this. (Although larger - we cut this lower one off to examine)



When pulling them out and breaking apart, they are hard but when squished no actual hard seeds..

No signs of bananas at all.

Keen to hear any thoughts. Cheers

I was going to say premature turning of the pistils an indication of fertilization. But then I saw you say theya re 7 weeks into flower, they don't look anywhere near that far along. Just let it ride out and see, the worst that happens is that you have to remove seeds from your buds as you smoke them. Just so you know, fresh seeds still in the husk are soft until they are nearly mature..

Its easy pop some calyxes apart and see if theres a seed in there

Cheer's guys. Possibly is seeds then and just not mature yet that's why the soft when we open then up..

How high are the lights from the tops? The buds looks like they aren't getting enough light for some reason.

Firstly since you stated you are new to this and without just assuming you know how it works, what makes you think it could be making seeds?

Did you have any flowering males with the females or did one of them hermie?

If none of the 2 i mentioned has happened then id say you shouldnt have to worry but i agree that those buds look very under developed for week 7 of flower they look more like my week 3-4 byds look minus the brown hairs so check light distance, heat, ph and nutes.

Appears to be suffering from light stress. Looks like it's trying to reveg.

Hi all. 3Thanks for your feedback Im thinking it turned hermie about week 3-4 into flower and then self pollinated .

It is easy to open a few calyxes and check for premature seed.

This is gaffys grow.. pics above are some more from the room.. thats a 50ltr tub that two plants are growing in hydroton clay balls with recirculating hydro system. Constant flow. 600w hps. Good extraction and airflow.

Those buds were from the bottom of the plant as we cut them to take out and examine. lights are about 12" from tallest tops..
