is this enuff light ?

hello i recently went to a hardware joint to buy some lights for my small grow room ,i was originally going to go for the tube fluro's but the guy there said i need an electrician to install them they were hard wired? wtf ? ok so i bought some crappy $10 lamp that hangs from the ceiling and bought a 12watt cool white tiny spiral bulb . its says 12watt = 60 watt , so what is it 12 or 60 ? it also has 700 lumens can anyone tell me if its enuff light ? my closet is about 150cm tallx 2footacross by 1 foot wide, im planing on usin cfl for the whole life span of the plant...

yes actual it is the right amount almost but it'll work. 20 watt and 60 watt. That just means thats what it ranges from.

if it was a cfl then more than likely 12 watt is equivalent to the 60 watts they mean.So i would get couple more with some y splitters and have 6 or 8 in the closet to have a good grow.

no. that is NOT enough light. that is a 12 watt bulb. you want to get the highest you can find which will probably be around 27 watts. the 60watt number means nothing because thats the equivelant. all they are saying is that it is as bright as a 60watt incandescent bulb. go get the 27w bulbs, as many as you can fit in your area. at least 8 to start, and make sure they are the daylight bulbs with a spectrum of 6500k for vegetative growth. when its time to flower get even more cfls in there and switch over to 2700k spectrum bulbs. do some more reading online this information is EVVVVVVVERYwhere so you'll be able to find whatever you need. good luck with the grow man

ive looked everywhere and cant figure out howd id setup 8 lamps in my small closet , im in a caravan with minimal outlets and my lamp has a max of 12 watts are the tubes really that hard to setup? can i get a tube system that i can just plug into the wall ?

No it is not enough. Look at other CFL grows and see how many others are using to get an idea to start yourself up. Get some 23 watts or even 42 watts. 13watts i'm guessing you can use as side light fillers if you have some laying around but spend your dollars on high wattage bulbs for best results. Use 6500k temp for veging and switch to 2700k temp for flowering as stated by CasteR.

You can get some floros T-12,t-8,t-5 systems which all come with a power cord u just plug n grow.For cfls go to a hardware store, home depot,lowes etc..You can get y splitters which u can put 2 cfls on 1 socket.
