I recently moved some 2 month old seedlings outside june 23 to harden off for outdoors. Set them in a shaded area for few days until got shade cloth setup. At the property we had them under a tarp and noticed a bud forming in a plant. These are our regular cheesequake.i noticed if anything the preflowers are only showing top of plants this one showing no signs. Can a male flower early on its own as i belueve we have a male that wanting to flower

Pics are too blurry to tell, get some close ups at the node junctions. Males can flower early on their own if the roots are constrained in a small pot.

Some shots of the brian berry i believe is preflowering
Male or hermie, 1st pic looks like both balls and some hairs coming in, let it go a few days and you should be able to tell better. Damn bro, you have shaky hands, need a tri-pod - lol

Yea why are some showing sex is this a sign its going into flower? Do some just show? I have a plant at property go super into flower like started seeing nugs and all. Do u think keeping under a tarp for 3 4 days triggered them? These plants went from shed under a shaded area also but still gets some light in morning

Not necessarily, most of my strains show sex about 5-6 weeks from seed but that doesn't mean they'll flower right away or until flipped. Some strains take longer to show and they will start pre-flowering eventually but not full on flowering until they're flipped.

Now, if you're using light dep and left the tarp on for a few days that would likely trigger flowering but if you put them back and give them at least 15 hours of light they should hold off and re-veg until they fall under 14 hours or so.

Btw this brian berry has been soo finicky unlike the cheesequake from tga loves the outdoors etc
Not unusual for regs, I typically run 5-6 if I want one decent female pheno. There's always some finicky phenos in a pack, I just cull those out rather than force them and chase defs. I look at a 10 pack of regs as one good pheno, maybe a couple, anything beyond that is a bonus. Even fems I'll run 3-5 and choose the best overall for vigour, colour, structure and smell. It may seen counter productive but in the end they take a total of 14-16 weeks to go through a complete cycle, to me it's not worth bothering with def-prone or non-vigorous phenos.

Yeah for sure, I keep a clone of my best strains/phenos going through clones, some for years. I just ran 25 seedlings, grabbed 1, maybe 2 female keepers and 2 keeper males. I was after the males more than females in my own crosses but happened on a great pheno of Fireballs out of 4 original seeds I dropped. That was the third run, maybe 15-16 seeds to find it :)

At this point they will all finish without reveg, some just a bit smaller.Check the smaller ones for water as often as possible it takes a week or so for their roots to expand and not need constant watering.
