hi there,
no offence meant by title! (we call everyone from the general areas of the north or south american continents yanks over here...)

im a stranger round these here parts and am still just getting a feel for the forum.

is this a mainly american forum???

im just wondering if there's any europeans on board here.

or better still irish!

i just happen to be irish myself . begorra!!

maybe people dont talk bout their identies in the "real world" here... or then again.. maybe this isnt a social forum as such.. just all business..

show me some love dudes.
everyone loves star wars loving ,stoner, drink too much at the weekends, generally stroll up to anyone anywhere and introduce urself with a "hows it goin fella!" irish people.

well, i wouldnt have a grow closet, id have a grow estate....

its funny, i remember a time before tom cruise and the likes made films in ireland about how poor and impoverished we all were 200 years ago and people didnt really have a whole pile of pride in having an irish heritage..

its cool though.

in ireland at the moment things are getting very multi cultural. for about the last 15 years now irish people have to get used of the fact that people from other countries actually want to migrate here to work and live... i think after the initial "why the fuck would they want to come to this wet misty fucking country?" and the absolute shock of seeing people walking around the place that come from places u only see on the news for some bad reason... well, after all that i think most irish people realise that our economy need the work force... nearly all the migrants that come here do so legally and pay taxes.

the polish comunity is huge in ireland at the moment, there are also very large comunites from all african nations, nigeria etc, eastern block countries, former yugoslavia, former russian states, china, the philipines (nearly all nurses or carers for some reason...)

come'ere, are flights from the states to amsterdam very expensive these days??

of course, the wookie contingent in the labour *force*
makes ireland a real engineering hub at the moment...

i think the wookie migration had something to to with a skirmish in kashyyyk long long ago far far away...

mad for the guiness those wookies,, very very messy when drunk.... make the irish drunks look very tame in comparison.....

beautiful, yeah i guess, its all what your used of i guess..
the green fields and misty hills get a bit annoying after a while,,,
its all green n shit coz it rains all the time...
and the climate is always temperate... very rarely snows in winter.. just more rain ... very rarely goes over 28 deg c in summer... (hence pasty pale irish people!)
to us continental climates seem so more interesting... snowy winters and hot summers...

having said that though, this summer was really nice... lots of sunny days... got myself a week in spain aswell...so i had a nice healthy tan by august!

hmmm....i think that tan need a bit more topping up...
that is the one thing bout living in europe... one can get a cheap flight to more or less anywher in europe..
i can get to the canary islands for about €100 return from dublin...
accom is cheap as piss out there...... as is car hire.... as is beer....
the canaries...year long sunshine....

I find the ideal that people would call Canadians "yanks", just as strange as someone calling someone from England a Sheep-shagger or Ruski.

Canada has done much in the world (past and present) to be seen as not being the US or being lumped in with them and what they stand for. IMHO
