I see no yellow daggers of death coming out, so I think your good. KEEP WATCHING. LOOK FOR YELLOW, train your eyes to scan colas, bud sites, and branch off sites for anything yellow. IF you have a REALLY HUGE swollen cylax (spelling) it will probably be splitting down the seem someplace, if so, it was pollinated, something caused it.

Basically if it does hermie, you will be looking for anything that looks like this...
() <---- Coming out of a bud.

Thanks for the input Snake. Got myself worked up over nothing. On a kick to try and take the best pics I can with my phone and noticed some stuff I had never noticed Before on my first two grows.

yes, it most certainly looks like a hermie to me..
in that second pix, right above that big old branch, i see what surely looks like a banana to me, and i see another one a bit above that first one in the same pix..

Yeah the first and second pics are of the same bud, second one is a close up showing more detail. That's the exact spot that had me concerned as well.

As far as seeds, not that I can tell. I'm pretty new to growing so I'm still learning and figure I'll always being learning. Correct me if I'm wrong but from everything I've read on the subject there's two types of Hermies. Ones that are genetic and show signs relatively early in the grow and Hermies caused by stress. I believe it'd be the later of the two. Although I haven't really had any problems with this grow, my best guess would maybe be a potential light leak in my cabinet. I have one cabinet with clone and veg on one side and the others my flower. I have checked regularly for light leaks from the clone/veg side but haven't found any. My technique has been to open it up right before the lights go off. I Check it manually with my peepers and then my cell phone recording in the cabinet. With both doors shut. Never had any light leaks that I could tell. So potentially maybe some heat stress but my temps haven't been above 82F at any time.

I appreciate all the input guys. I will await others responses.

If they are nanners can they pollinate the other plants I have in the cab or is it likely there may be seeds? I've smoked a lot of stuff with seeds and never really thought the quality suffered to terribly.

oh yes, they can surely seed your crop if they blow their wads, pollen, all over your virgin girls.. the good news is, like you've said, there's no evidence that seeded bud is any less potent than sensi bud, it just has seeds is all..
you can also take a pair of tweezers, and very carefully pull off any banana that you might find. some times the pollen will be sterile, and other times, it won't be sterile, so you never know.. pulling them off is the best bet imo.. just be careful like i said, and look and pull any / all you find. also, sometimes a plant might only get one or two, and if you pull them, no more will grow back.. other times, even after you pull them, more will grow back.. just keep an eye out after you pull them for any new ones..

I have an og strain that always kicks out 1 or 2 seeds and im pretty sure the male flower is contained in the calyx that made the seed. So ive never had any pollination problems with is. Seeds arent the worst thing to see but nanners are bad news. There are a couple shiny calyx in your pick that look like they may be seeds to me but cannot really tell.

yupper, i have heard that og kush comes from a hermie mom, so a lot of og's will also carry that hermie trait with them, along with real deal ecsd, as well as trainwreck.. all of those strains tend to carry the hermie gene from all i've read and heard over the years..

It'll be 6 Weeks of 12/12 tomorrow. I'm thinking I will just let them grow out until there ready unless I start noticing seeds. Thanks for the help everyone. Much appreciated.

So are there strains that would be more tolerant of environmental stressors? If so what strains would you recommend and what breeders are good?

Just finish them, If you have seeds, you have seeds. The bud still works... Just know when they hermie by themselves those seeds created will be prone to hermie as well... Unless of course they hermied because of conditions... Then the seeds should be fine in good conditions. If its just the strain, take all the seeds and plant them all over the place outside, check back after season and you might have some monsters for free :)

This sometimes happens with no fault of growers. Could be genetics and last ditch effort to get pollinated. If you have other plants early in flower in the same room there could be a potential problem if that nanner pops. If there are no other early flowering plants, i wouldn't worry too much about it. If you do have other early flowering plants and it looks like said nanner is going to pop, i would take that plant to another enclosed room while you perform the nannernectomy, he he. Dont just try and pull off or you will make matters worse. Get to the base of it and snip off as a whole.
