Is this a good position to have cfl's?

I usually place 2-26watt cfl's inside one of those round metal shop lights using a splitter. I then place that directly over the top of the plant. Then I place the other bulbs all around the sides. I got almost 3 o's off the grow and first the first time I can't complain.

For some reason It's not letting me put up a picture. I'll try later for you.

Next time I will place 2 bulbs(using a splitter) inside the metal shop light thing and it should be even better.

i am always surprised about nice cfl setups, like i see cfls not as an alternative light choice, but just until you get enough for decent hps setup, but why go out and get mylar and good nutrients and nice setup and then not use a hps,at least a small one cause they produce such a nicer bud,not at all arguing the fact that cfl can grow, but from personal experience,i know that a cfl just doesnt do like an hps

just use those cfls but read the stickied threads about growing with cfls. the stickied posts are great info to learn from. when i first started i had the complete wrong lights and it fuked my plants. if ur in the veg stage which i think u are u have the wrong bulbs. cfl bulbs that are in the range of 5500k-6500k are good for veg and then when ur flowering use 2700k bulbs. those dont seem to be the lights u need for the veg state. u have them in close enuf but remember u dont need them close for very long...my oldest plants are bout 5 weeks old and now i moved the lights pretty far away so that tha plant would stretch to get closer to my lights....so that way they, they dont grow fatter they grow taller. deff get good nutes, soil and understand which lights u need. i nvr knew there were different types of cfl bulbs but there are and it makes a huge diff which ones u have check my sig for more info. new pics r goin up tomm

im using 5 x 2700k bulbs for 1 plant, 2 on the sides and 3 on top, about 1-2 inches away. this is a small closet grow and my plant is about 1 ft tall and looking very yummy, im going to prove that cfl's can do the job, and do it nicely, it has a long time still ,its only 2 weeks into budding and it looks amazing, ive seen a few grows, ive grown before, never seen a small plant like this produce so much in a 2 week period. my batteries are dead on my camera i will post pics tonight. thanks for the replies :D

the cfls that say daylight or cool white are for the veg stage.
if theres red spectrum avaliable for the plant to asorb while its in veg itll result in stunt growth and short internodes.
the plant will still live.

just wont be as vigorus as the one with cool or daylight lights.

during flowering tho,
use soft white(its balanced) or warm white(red spectrum)
they give off a more orangey glow.

hope that helps abit...
