is there somthing wronge ?

hi i have recently germinated some kc brains northern lights speacial seeds and 9/10 germinated well (last seed nearly done)
i put the germinated seeds into some j.arthour bowlers all purpose soil and possible over watered them however i have draind the soil and now it is moist
the problem is .. i have had the seeds in the soil for like 3 days now and theres no sign of any stem breakthrough ??? is there something wrong or shall i leave them longer ?? plz help really new to this

i don't understand when you say you overwatered... then drained the soil...

thats a lot for a seed that just cracked and planted

how far did you plant down, i plant right at the very surface so you can see the seed alomost.

quite deep ... left the pot over a buket to drain water n will jus wait put them in warmer place thankx

what is a good inication to know how deep to plant... stick your finger in the soil up to the first line... thats it... 1 inch depth is good... make sure the root is pointing down, but if you mess up and its not pointing down, don't worry and go digging it up, its just a headache... the plant will find its way... using a spray bottle... turn the nozzle till it sprays in a mist... then squirt the soil 5 times (squeeze trigger 5 times) twice a day... 5 squirts in the day and 12 hours later, another 5 squirts... works for me

What kind of water are u using, ive never really had a problem with my tap water but i know alot of people are sticklers about proper water treatment...if u are using tap water check to see that the ph isnt way off from around 6, also another thing which again i have never had a problem with but most people do is chlorine that is added to the water in the water purification process buy your city, leave ur water out for 24 hours and all the chlorine will evapourate leaving u with cleaner water

my water is fine ph 6.7 and the soil is now moist notwet so will my plants still grow or will the over watering at the beging kill them ?? really need help thanks u guys

I wouldnt worry too much at this stage dude it can take up to 2 weeks for you to see it lift out the soil... like you said you set it in the soil quite deep.

Plus if you overwatered the soil it sounds like you have accidently tipped a bottle of water over the soil... if so the pressure may have pushed it a bit further down.

You can dig it out the soil but have to be very very careful... With mine i had no choice the root had hit a small stone and grown up and out of the soil so I had to dig it out and gently push the root to face the right way.

Its up to you but after a few days you shouldnt need to worry too much.

i dont think it was a great idea to have started the growth section of the pot experience with nl... however i will do my best to help you out.


i would personally wait a few more weeks. also it may be a soil thickness problem, since many soils that i have seen being used are much to dense for the marijuana plant to grow out of. Cannabis is a VERY weak plant, so it needs all the help it can get to grow nice and big. another problem may be that there is a void of nutrition in the soil. Certain higher grades of marijuana have a tendency to give up growing when nutrients vanish. i know, its frustrating, but get some practice in with a more expendable weed next time, such as kb. still sell able, and of course smoke able (if u like schwag). good luck!!

these were mine after 3 days of planting the germinated seeds. (small pots)

whats happened is you have planted too deep, it aint rocket science.

Unearth the top layer of soil unti you seen the green leaves. then place back under the light and wait, and learn from your mistake...don't listen to these people saying wait 3 weeks. wtf.

the part about overwatering is killing me... hope you waited until the soil dries... remember, before you can give a plant more water, the soil should be dry

wow finally one of the seeds are just braking the surface iv heard from a few ppl that leaving the tap water in a bottle for 24hours and before u water the plants really shake up the water to put more air in it ??
so happy 1 plants nearly frew atleast when there above soil you can see the problems ect lol fanks for your help guys keep posting

yeah... shaking the bottle is a theory... because some people don't believe that a bottle would be able to spray the bubbles... but congrats on your baby... i just had a new one also.... we should throw a party..

lol needhelp yeah party sounds good .. someone sugested diging the seeds up n puttin them closer to the top but personally i dnt like the sound of desterbing them lol an plus i alredy sed i planted them deep so its true they will take longer .. but happy 1 has come frew ill keep u posted mate

i don't like digging up seeds because, what if the root is started to dig into the dirt... you can damage it and cause yourself more problems... not saying you can't because i use to do it when i was frustrated on how i planted the seeds (wanted the roots to be pointing downward)... but then i started not to care... and they still grew.. so i realized i was just being to anxious, because this was all new to me and exciting... so i wanted everything to be perfect... but when you're new... what is really perfection... you don't know right from wrong to be able to tell if you're technique is good or not...

he's telling you to dig it up.. but... you noticed that it still found its way to the surface... just use the new knowledge for your next grow... thats how we all learn... everytime you try to grow.. you're gonna make mistakes thats gonna make you a better grower... so, sometime i do be pissed i fucked up on something... but, in the back of my mind, i have the knew knowledge stored and know, not to do it again

ya don't worry. i planted 8 seeds and only 3 sprouted up. i only put the seeds in 1/4" deep. you will get seeds that don't sprout. good luck

lol need help partys going good lol ... yh i was thinking that because iv ran into problems that i could have advoided if i knew more so next time ill know not to do this and that so technacly making mistakes is a good thing so i knw what i done wrong lol i jus got bak frm town i got a lil 10inch desk fan to put next to the plants to blow air onto the stems on a very low settin at 1st iv heard its good for them . also the soil i used this time doesnt really take my fancy so next time im going to use something differant and ADD PERLITE staight away lol .. my mate sugested puting a straw in the corners of the soil to air them a lil only a personal thing he does will it work ??the soil looks dry now so should i water tyhem or mist the soil ?? reply quik koz wna water them but have ur advise 1st lol

i was going to say soil looked dry. yes water and let it dry out some. poke your finger in the soil up to your 2nd knuckle if it wet don't water.
