Is She a HE?!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! So i woke up today and was starting to water my plants when i notice balls?! or maybe its natural I can kind of see them on pics of other plants but im just not sure. So im growing in FFOF its 3 weeks into flower under 400w Hps and shes the faster one to flower so far. I think they might be calyxs? Hopefully. Im just a first time grower tripping i hope.

Phew... So what are those ball looking things in picture 1? is that a calyx? cuz they look like unwanted balls

I can't see what you're talking about man. It's deff a lady. Whether it hermied or not, I can't see good enough in the photos.

looks like its hermie to me if in pic 1/5 are what i think they are ,

male plants dont have the white pistils or hairs they just have balls that open into small yellow pollin cover'd flowers not bud flowers but real little floers with petals

Sorry bout the pics you guys but if you look in picture 1 and 5 you can see ball looing things underneath the buds. They do seem like they have hairs coming out.. noT sure if thats a good thing or not

That is a calyx in pic 1 but it looks pretty swollen for 3 weeks into flower. The white hairs collect the pollen from the air and the white hair turns reddish/brown then the calyx starts to develop a seed and swells. You might have a hermie....

Edit: If it were mine I would pop one of the bigger ones open and see if there are seeds being produced or not.

cool thanks a lot i looked at that pic and mine dont really look like theyre hanging or like bananas. They look like swollen balls and some have white hairs poking out. If i popped one right now would it stress out the plant a lot and would the seed already be developing if it were a hermie?

Edit: What would be there if it were just a female plant?

The bananas are what make them swell with seeds, they are hard to see but may be there. The bananas could be on another plant and just pollinated the other.

You will see or feel a small seed like thing in there if its pollinated, if not it will be pretty empty. It won't stress the plant out to check.

I have had plants that naturally had fat/swelled calyxs but you def need to know if your room is making pollen.

Yea cool thanks a lot. I checked on the swollen calyxs and they do not have anything inside i checked on a couple of them . So im safe to say they are not hermies? I know all my plants are female cuz i started with clones.

Sounds like your good just keep an eye on them. You will eventually notice random red hairs if you do have a hermie.

The white hairs you are seeing are called pistils and when you see those you know you got yourself a female and it looks like they are frosting up nicely On rare occasions a female plant can also have male parts and seed itself (hermaphrodite) my last grow this happened with one plant, it took about twice as long to flower than my other plants and i didn't know why and it had a whole bunch of problems and did not produce very much scent OR BUD! I harvested dried and then as i was trimming i found maybe 6 seeds but the bud was not that bad. lol

Take the plant out of the grow area and squeeze the ball. If hairs come out you are good and can return it to the grow room. If a small puff of dust comes out it's a hermie and you have a problem.

its a he she , or as i call them a SHIM ,BURST A BALL TO SEE IF THERES A PREMATURE SEED INSIDE

all she is missing is tits and ass

yea id cut off one of those balls ya got and see if theres pollen inside, but id put my money on it being female, and not hermie.

do you have other plants flowering right now? if not, dont even stress over it, worst case scenario, its a hermie, and you end up with good weed and some feminized seeds to make more good weed.

Looks like a pre flower to me, not a ball. If it was a ball it would have probably opened by now.
