is overdriven VHO fluoro's good sidelighting/supplemental with 1000HPS's above?

My bloom area under roof is 26'x10' w/6x1000 hps's on a mover. I love the spectrum of VHO fluoro's available like 4000,5000&6500K &hoping since the 8' bulbs are 215watts, I'd connect surplus 34watt ballasts totaling +-250-340watts for each of 3 vho bulbs. I'd be around 800-1000 watts of brighter than usual vho's for under $200. But I also have 6 older 250watt hps ballasts that'd give good sidelighting but they'd be hotter, right? All ballasts will be remotely placed. And budget wont allow LEDs yet.

Your correct in the assumption that the hps burns hotter but you should also be looking at lumens as well as spectrum color as well. Hope it helps. IMO - I'd go with the fluorescent sides if your just supplementing light.
