Is my Skunk 11 a hermi? (PIC)

This is a male part, right? :wall:

If so is there anything I can do to save it? There's several pistils forming too. Can I just rip it off?

It does look like it. The pic is just barely not close/clear enough to say for sure. Male flowers can look alot like calyxes with no stigmas.

Thanks. Yeah, that was the best pic I could get unfortunately and even then I had to hold a CFL right up to it with one hand while balancing the camera in the other.

There's actually two of these, one on each side of the node. Both look very similar and both are short stems followed by the banana shape you see in the pic. No pistils on either too. :(

I grabbed another picture.

Judging by the graphic you posted mantiszn it actually looks like a male part that hasn't opened yet. Basically, the graphic you posted is of opened male sacs. I heard this strain goes hermi easily but damn... and I got four more of these crappy seeds too.

Thought so. Although it's definitely a hermi, there's several female flowers and pistils scattered throughout the plant. (The seeds were feminized too) I guess I'll grow it out in a spare closet and make hash out of it. Thanks everyone.

At least I got a budding blue widow, white rhino, and blue cheese to fall back on.

what was your ph? i've heard a high ph level can cause this - not sure if its 100% true though... anyone know?

PH is 6.2. Temps never got above 82F or below 60F under two 150HPS bulbs. I've heard feminized skunk #11 from Dutch Passion can go hermi very easily and I guess I'm seeing it first hand. The thing is the plant was never stressed and it was by far my best looking plant of the bunch and the fastest growing too.

I've moved it out of my main grow room and put it in a closet with 200-/+ watts of CFL's. I've never flowered a hermi and figure it'll be interesting to see how it turns out. Even if I get crappy bud it's still better than nothing and worst case there's always the option of hash.

Yup, be thankful you got it before it opened and fertilized your Rhino, cheese and Widow. I had that happen with a Jack Herer from marijuana seeds. NL

Update: So weird thing... I ripped the two balls off it in the pics above two weeks ago and have been monitoring it ever since. It now has some very tasty nugs and no signs of additional balls at all after two weeks. I'm obviously keeping it out of my main grow room just in case but this is really weird to me. I'm absolutely positive they were male parts; I even put them under a microscope after I ripped them off to confirm it. However, I've searched EVERYWHERE on the plant and no signs of additional balls anywhere.

Either I'm lucky or I'm missing something....
