Is my plants to short? want to get it right!!

Hey everybody how ya doing? I got 2 plants growing right now about 2 old months now. 1 is an autoflower "Vision blueberry bliss"
in the (green pot). The other is a female purple bud. Both was ordered from the SINGLE seed centre. Currently they are under a 600 watt HID that is approx 14-16 inches from the top of the plant due to lack of exhaust. I have to keep tent door open during day to have the light on 100% overwise it will 90+ but it's usually around 85℉ Should the light be closer or is it fine? Would it help make them stretch? Also got some burns on the tip of my leaves on the plant in the 18 gallon bin, haven't feed it nutes yet b.c soil had a 30 day supply. And I have ordered a new tent b.c I know I need more space since Ima want some clones off her 7ft x 4ft x 4ft. And I ordered a 6in inline fan to remove the heat. I appreciate all and any tips in advice thanks keep toatinbongsmilie:bigjoint:

At 85 degrees, you plant will basically shut down and stop growing. It should be closer to 75 than 80. 18 to 24" away from your plants is where you want to keep the light. If it is too warm, go closer to the 24" side of things. Get your temps down and you will be a lot happier.

However, there is no "right" way of growing. It is all up to you as to what you want and what you expect. Don't plan on getting 3 oz per plant your first time out or even your first 5 times. It takes time.

The auto will go when it goes but id veg more on your regular.
Those are still pretty small. You want at least 36" before you flip.
Depending on your ultimate goal.
It really depends on what style of grow your shooting for.

If it was my garden I would get rid of the side lighting, it isn't doing a damn thing for that plant if it is already under your 600.

That auto is two months old? The last auto that was grown in my room my wife grew, she accidentally topped it and by two months it was almost two feet tall and well into flowering. It was an AutoBlueberry.

Stretching is usually not a preferred trait in a plant, why do you want the plant to stretch? As it grows it naturally will increase in size and height, those branches will get longer trust me.

A great way to see if your lights are too close is to hold your forearm at canopy level underneath your lamp for a few minutes, if your arm is uncomfortable expect plants to also be uncomfortable at that lamp height, raise it. Lamps closer to the plants is optimal.

Expect smelly times soon, when that auto starts producing trichomes your home will be smelly. Consider purchasing an activated carbon filter and inline fan for your exhaust to take care of this and your heat issues.

Your temps are a problem, I usually reccommend people start with t5's if they aren't growing for production but since you got a 600 and the fan, see how it works, might need to run ducting to vent the light away from the intake to another room or through a chiller.

Also, your medium is probably not that great. Look into soiless drain to waste systems. It's basically the same except your soil is inert and you add the nutrients to the water. A good system like this will cut out a lot of stress and problems.

Edit: Is that big tupperware box thing draining? If not it will promote the growth of bacteria and mold and just bad shit that will make your root system unhealthy and stunt growth.

Yes it is draining it is in a second tub to act as a reservoir. I water from the bottom. Thanks for the tips

ok so 75-80 waiting on my inline fan now. Everything should get better and less stressful once that's in there and the temps go down. Appreciate it sir. I hoping for at least 3oz since its in that 18gallon tub. I'm feeding it from the bottom thru the second tub its in

yes I plan on veg for another month or two. Tryna get at least 3oz lol. Thanks for the tip

If your growing space is only four feet tall reconsider this, plants will often double in size or more during flowering. 36" is a bit tall to enter flowering in a four foot tall space.

ok so stretching is not good. I'm not tryna rush it, I know it take time. Just thought it should be bigger but like someone else said I got to get my temps down to 75-80. And the carbon filter is next on my list, I got a inline fan on its way now. Also will remove the lil side light lol. Thanks for the tips

I ordered a bigger tent 2 days ago 7ft x 4ft x 4ft. So I should be good. will most likely keep this as a veg tent anyway once the new one comes in for my clones , and other seeds

Damn sorry bud! I didnt notice you only had 4ft of space. Ya toss em now sorry totally missed that very important detail.
Do a little super cropping the first week of flower an I think you will be ok.
