Is my plant too small

I'm about two weeks into my grow (starting from when it sprouted). I've been looking around at other peoples journals at pix from there 2 week point, and then I look at mine. She's about two inches tall and well...I'll let the pic speak for itself. Is she too small for her age? If so, what could I be doing wrong and how could i fix this? If you need more information just let me know.

I can see that you bought your pots from Wal Mart, that "Made from Recycled Plastic" sticker in that first pic is unmistakable lol

honestly you could back those lights off about 5 inches or more... they don't need too much light that early in seedling stage.

I was under the impression that moving the lights further away from the plant will cause it to stretch and that you want the light as close as possible without burning it.

Please correct me if I'm wrong!

if the light is too faraway then yes. but they dont need to be two inches away during seedling stage

nothing new. I agree with... everyone else. 1. make sure there isn't too much heat from those lights, they're wicked close. Put your hand there and hold it for 30 seconds, if it's too hot for you, it's way too hot for your plants. 2. the height is fine, let the little one grow

This is my setup. The 2 lights in front are 23 watt 5500K the other two are 23 watt 3000Ks, and on both sides of the wall there is aluminum foil. On my next trip to walmart I plan on picking up a small fan.

Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions? Should I add more light? I have more bulbs and lamp space.

I'm using Sta-Green Moisture Max. How much and how often should I be watering her? Right now she's on an 18hr cycle 10pm - 4pm

It's way better to under water than to over water. Some people water every couple days, some people water every 5 days. It depends on the environment your plant is in, (meaning the temp. by the plant, and how fast the water evaporates). Usually you can tell by gently putting your finger a couple of inches into the soil. If you see the soil pulling away from the side of the pot it's really dry. Good luck.

I agree, put the lights about 5 inches away. Another thing that might help is to have 6500K bulbs for this stage. Correct me if I'm wrong but your light look like they are 2700K's which are usually used in combination with 6500K or just used for flowering. Other than that, be patient. Looks healthy, just off to a slow start.

I haven't been able to find any 6500s at any stores around here. What I'm using is too 5500s and 2 3000s.

If there's a Wal-Mart by you, they sell 6500K's. They are in a white package with blue border and say 6500K vertically on the left side. I think they are GE's. The 2700K's you can get at Home Depot, the package is white with green, and in very small print on the upper left side under a small paragraph it says colo temp 2700K. The ones at WM are like $4.50 for 2 23 watters, and the ones at HD are like $6.88 for 2 23 watters. Both put out 1600 lumens per bulb. The ones that you have will work, but I think it's the others are a more effective part of the spectrum for what you're trying to do.
