Is it true some strains won't flower outdoors?

Why wouldn't it flower?

I was under the assumption that all plants flower when the light cycle tells it so.

Or is it that where you live, due to frost ect you dont have the time to flower? (its a world wide forum)

This is just what I have read and some of the responses to my question agree that she will need to be indoors to begin flowering.
I am new so I have no idea. That's why I asked.

The first time I seen bud outside in the northern hemisphere I done it in a 4'x 4'x 8'h plywood box. I opened the lid in the morning and closed it 12 hours later. If you have 12 or more daily hours of usable sunlight where you are growing "tarping" the suns intervals is best. Hydro can be done this way also, using the sun.

So if you live in Alaska, etc now you're set to do some heavy bud during the summer :)

And? I don't care what the description says. If it can flower indoors, it can flower outdoors.[/QUOe TE]

never grown it or seen it. Why would the breeder put that in the description you suppose?
A big selling point you think? They said fuck outdoor growers we don't need em. Sounds like a pissa marketing.
I never said it would or wouldn't flower outside. People were all saying they never heard of it, What are the genetics. maybe its takes 16 weeks to finish. Thats what was posted. from the breeder of the strain, but you know better than him.

It said nine weeks on that seedsman link. In the description it said flower must be initiated indoors.

I don't get either. Why breed a plant lime that.

It also says it comes from a landrace strain. Like as in it grows outdoors.

They have it listed mostly indica. The pics in this thread look much more sativa to me.
Not a strain i would grow its strange description. It sounds like a pain in the ass. Maybe thats why there out of stock.

Read qwizo or vostoks post.. It WILL flower outdoors. It doesn't need to be started indoors. They were saying it might be a longer flowering strain, which if that's the case, you may want to light dep it to give it a head start so it finishes properly before frost.. You'll learn that not everyone on here is knowledgeable. You have to sort of ween through the b.s. Lots of great info once you do though.

P.s. I've grown a Williams wonder x afghani ibl (can't remember the crosses name) and it was actually a pretty fast finisher indoors. Could be done as quick as 7 weeks indoors, let it go to 8 and it turned Amber. Not my favorite strain but was a pretty heavy, quick producer. I don't think you'll have any problems at all outside with it.

Best of luck!

Ahh see that makes sense. The problem is not the strain its where he lives.
