is it too late to plant?

I have some lowryder seeds, and they only take like 2 months from seed to bud. I live in NY and its almost mid augest....can this still be possible to plant them and get bud before the frost?

I think it would be a pretty big waste.... maybe if you could jump start them indoors though

yeah im gonna put them in jiffy pellets and let them grow a little bit inside. Farmers alminac said 10/19 for the first frost...gonna be cutting it close but will see, thanks for the info fellas.

If you have to just bring them in if the frost comes before they are ready. They will be close enough that they should be ripening and won't necessarily need a ton of light.

I dont know where your veg time is... Im not all that experienced but the flowering is gonna take about 2 months itself... who knows when that will even start..... there is no doubt you will be well into frost while its budding and your yield is going to be tiny

When i said jump start indoors i mean a couple of weeks under 24/0 lighting

ULMreasearch, good call! I was going to just stick'em in the ground but i got 2 gallon pots that would be perfect, guess ill just have to keep a close eye on the weather and make sure it wont frost. UKJW these are autoflowering lowryders, there total grow time is only about 2 months. they dont have a Veg period. This is the kind of weed that grows in heaven. lol

Why not take advantage of the hottest, sunniest part of the year during their vegetative stage? Your yield may be low, but they're fun to grow, and you will grow some decent smoke. Why not?

ah ok i gotcha... well good luck man... and if possible you could consider a couple weeks indoors on 24 hour lighting... i tried it this year and they grew a ton in 2 weeks... dwarfed the first 2 weeks ive ever seen outdoors

no i live here in NY to, weird iv come across like 4 other NY growers in the past week, but our season starts early may, i like to wait a lil longer bc 1 day of bad weather and ur plants are dead or stunted, i started mine the 3rd week in may this year, but yea ur not gonna be able to do outdoor, flowerings only a week or 2 away, some have already started, so pretty much ur options are indoor or wait till next year, trust me when i say it will be a complete waste to start rite now

He's asking about autoflowering plants. You're referring to photoperiod plants. Big difference.
