Oh....I dont know bout that buddy. But I wouldnt recommend being in the plants growing space anyways because of anything you might bring into the room could harm the plants like molds and bugs.

not always true. i was reading on here about a MCH(metal ceramic halide) which produces tons of UV rays. which, im sure, are not good to be around for extented periods of time. these lights are supposed to make the the trics stack on top of each other on your buds though. from wiki

In humans, prolonged exposure to solar UV radiation may result in acute and chronic health effects on the skin, eye, and immune system. It has been proven that exposure to UV radiation can cause severe sun burn and skin cancer.High intensities of UVB light are hazardous to the eyes, and exposure can cause welder's flash (photokeratitis or arc eye) and may lead to cataracts, pterygium,[10][11] and pinguecula formation.

im not sure how much a standard hps or mh produce for UV's. and im done researching for now.... lol... God bless everyone:peace:

I have gotten a sunburn from working in a cabinet with a 400 hps. I was directly under the light about 12" away for about 15 mins when I was setting up a duct fan. Not a bad sun burn but it did burn me.
