Hi eveyone just wondering what you thought. this is a shot of a bud that broke off my NL hermi today. justwondering if it looks ready to you guys. most of the hairs are red but this plant doesnt seem to be producing a lot of trichs and the ones that are there I cant find not one amber trich. this hermi pollinated my other four plants 2 snow whites one other NL and my last plant the pure gold I cant find a seed on it anywhere. Ive been patiently waiting to harvest looking at trichs. the rest of the plants have a lot of trichs but none of them are turning amber at all, on the other hand the seeds have matured to the point of actually falling out of the bud. will a seeded plants trichs still turn amber or does the seeds falling out mean they are done? thanks for the input.

looks ready, do you have a loupe? or a scope? the trichs are the way to tell, you want an 80/20 ratio... 80% amber and 20% cloudy/milky

but that is a nice looking cola mate. :)

80/20? How do you know that this particular strain is meant for 80/20? Every strain should be harvested differently... personaly, since it's northern lights, I would do a 60/40 because NL is a sweet and heavy resonated strain. It wont taste the same if you let it go too long.

30% is standard

Letting it go longer will only improve the aroma and the high. There's nothing like a speedy sativa to make you talk yourself into believing the cops are going to bust down the door at any minute lol

This one came down this morning 30 - 50% amber (depending on the sample). Day 76 (12/12)

thanks for the comments everyone. I still dont understand why I cant find any amber trichs but the plants are mature enough to be pushing out and dropping mature seeds. anyone explain this.

Let it go longer, even if it takes 12 weeks amber trichs are bound to show. The last thing you want is that thinking bud. You have to train yourself not to think bad thoughts and all types of shit. Don't think about gay stuff either or you'll catch a boner. :peace:

no I'm not gay

^---- no shit man, lol that is some random stuff!

but do let them go as long as they need, the trichs will turn, might take longer but they will turn.
