yea, the little crystals (trichromes) is whats important. Clear is too early, cloudy is good, amber or red/brown is starting to get too old. Most people seem to harvest when most are cloudy, and they have a little amber.

If I understood right, clear/cloudy is a more speedy high where cloudy/amber is a more relaxed or couchlock high.

I vote ready! And yes read about drying and curing. Done properly, your weed will be much nicer. I tend to cut earlier than most and never let triches go amber.

By the look at the trichs she's done! There isn't a thing as stupid questions so don't worry about asking them. Think about how much you water your plant....crazy to think but the roots actually send water up into the stalk and out shoots into buds. They will always be damp. Tips are drying out your soil medium for a week or so before harvest. This will always cause your roots to stretch for water pushing growth to its max and it will dry out your bud more or less. Doesn't have to be done, another tip easiest way to dry, get a string hang it and cut a shoot right where it meets the stalk and use that as a hook to hang your weed upside down! I'll shut up now.. Happy smoking :)

That is all very well and good, but you spent however many months growing it and didn't think to even Google drying? You will quickly learn that noobie section or not, people are always willing to help, but not to spoon feed you or do your homework for you.

I get your point but give him a break everyone starts somewhere, there's fruits out there you can't just grab and eat same with weed, some learn the hard way in both cases. Happy smoking :)
