I've got two moms, Early girl x White rhino... I also planted 3 seedlings yesterday. I want to know if its possible to take about 30 clones before its time to put them outside and have them established and rooted. All the clones I have taken so far have failed to root, how long should they usually take to root?

Yeah man you can do it, whats ur cloning method. Maybe we can help you have a higher success rate. Should take about a week, sometimes a bit sooner, sometimes a bit longer.

:D thanks for the hope... Ok so to clone I take cuttings with a few nodes... maybe 3. Then I dip them in cloning powder, I put them in a cup of water suspended by a piece of paper with holes poked in it. I could take a pic if you need it.

I would plant them directly in soil and pack the soil in gently around the stem the poweder may be either washing off or acutally forming a moister barrier so the chems cant soak in properly

I hate to disagree with frosty, because his method sounds pretty cool... but, the I use the aerocloner and I have an extremely high success rate. Although, I wouldn't recommend it on that alone, I also noticed that roots grow much faster in it. Definitely compared to straight water and soil methods. Another plus is that you can spot the clones that are going to be more trouble than they are worth early on.

yeah i have an areo cloner (clone machine) too but if this guy doesn't it would be much better to clone in soil then floating in a cup of water

HAHAHAHA! YES! Im so happy Im about to tear up.... My Clones ROOTED! FINALLY!:D:D:D My method was, I took an aqurium, I put a fish tank heater in it laying flat, Covered it with gravel, Soaked the gravel. Put my cuttings in peat pucks, Barried them halfway in the gravel and misted them daily! Im so happy, I was starting to feel like my plans for the summer were slipping away but THEY ROOTED:D
