Is it possible to use this with a DC powered 80mm fan?

Hey,

Do you think it would be at all possible to attach this to the out-take of my stealth-cab with a 80mm fan, which goes pretty fast for a computer fan. If I put my hand a foot away from the out-take I can feel it blowing on my hand pretty well. I was thinking I could possible attach this to the out-take fan for better odor control during flower:

What do you guys think?

Thanks!

PC fans can move air, but not too well against resistance. It would not be able to move much air at all through a filter.

Dang, then what are my options as for odor control besides the obvious like ona gel which I already have as well as a Holmes air purifier with the upgraded carbon filter and the unit also has an ionizer which I have not been using much.

You can make a small DIY carbon filter, that might provide much less resistance. Otherwise, you'll have to get a better (inline) fan if you want to use the carbon filter you list.

How about something like this:

I would not attach it to my out-take or in-take fan, I would just put it behind the cab in that general area. Will this work?

It is the 6" foothill filter, I know that these fans used on these scrubbers ARE bigger than the average PC fan and do push more CFM, but are these foothill scrubbers really loud? I live in an apartment, so noise could be an issue.

Thanks

In order to scrub the odors out, there must be an airtight connection between filter and fan, either pushing or pulling air (most pull air through filters). Carbon does not work like Ona gel, the smelly air must pass directly through the carbon to remove odors.

There are several DIY filters that are small and seem to work adequately with PC fans, I've seen them all around on the Net.
