Is it Possible to Transplant from Coco Coir to Soil???

Hello,

Does anyone know if you can transplant from Coco Coir into Soil?

I recently popped a couple of seeds now vegging with intent to flower them out, BUT have decided to mother one. She is sitting in a 10 Ltr pot in Coco and would like to move her to soil for less maintenance feeding wise. ill update with photos tomorrow.

Is it possible?
Is it better to mother in soil?
would it throw out the pH, or watering any differently?
Anyone with experience on this?

if the plant is still small and has not put alot of roots out you should be ok to transplant into soil, if its not an auto

In soil u will feed/water less often, and check ph regularly. Go for it!!

Not an auto, 2 weeks into veg, 5 nodes, topped a few days ago... hmmm

why not just take a cut to use as a mother n throw that 1 in coco into flower once the cut is rooted.

You mean mother the cutting? and place it in soil?

hmm then ill have clones of a clone.. i'm a perfectionist, but i think this is one of my only answers, unless I just feed the coco.

Ill have to wait a minimum of 3 months before i can start cloning her?

na, u should be able to get cuts in a couple weeks depending on what light u use for veg….

If you check a lot of commercially bought soil it has a vast amount of coco in it anyway. With the nutrients being added in as dried slow/quick release depending on what the company are selling the soil specifically for.
I would just pot the plant into soil...it will make no difference to the plant. And you can then stop feeding every time you water. Most commercial ops will also change their mothers from time to time. I tend not to keep a mother for more than a couple of runs. Good luck.

Keep it in coco, I think they are easier to keep alive. Had problems with my mother's in soil after about a year or so, coco she's still alive 2 years later growing strong. Just my personal opinion.

You can change from coco to soil if you want to. I do each year when I move the plants outdoors. Cloned and vegged in coco but when they go outside just into the dirt. No problems.

I'm using starlite fluros for cloning/seeds etc Led COB for veg
