Yes you can, but I don't know the type/name. And it will wear off eventually(I had a painted ashtray).

A
30$ speedy blaster with sandbox sand works. I just sandblasts yesterday.
You can just buy that speed blaster and some sand and you can sandblast any glass piece? That's pretty cool, I may try that on a tube.
Does it do anything to the glass negatively/positively or is it purely aesthetic?

Just do it lightly and at
the 90 psi. That's what I do... tape off a design. Window stickers work well.
ill post the one I just did. Looks bad ass.

Wow, I always thought it was a lot bigger process then that. The only real sandblasters I've ever used were the industrial ones for taking off rust and paint. I'll look into it, but you can do it without stickers also if you just want that sandblasted look right? The best one's I've seen were the FYC collabs with Toro.

Yeah. No stickers equal all blasted. I use the same blaster I blast rust off with. Just turned down. In a cabinet.

I really like that, what did you use for the writing? Did you just write it out on the tube and then sandblast over it? Has that scientific beaker look with the measurement like marks.

Not sure how well they do with heat but there are many brands of glass paint available that don't require any pre-treatment other than a good cleaning of the glass. Michaels website has a good blurb about the various types and brands if you just google "glass paint". And there's always acid etching pastes

Didn't even think of that! I'd probably just look for some badass sticker to use, either that or just the all sand blasted look.
Or tape off a cool design and sandblast around it.

Thats all I do. Any vinyl window decal works awesome. The paper stickers you have to be more careful with.

Yeah I'm going to keep on the look out for a sick sticker haha. I would love a wig wag vinyl sticker or fillacello. Sadly there isn't anything out there like that. :cuss:
