Is it possible to colour my plants?

hello, I was thinking today about my red diesel and blue cheese.
I was wondering if I could get these really colourful by maybe feeding food dye or somthing along these lines.
Is it possible? does it damage the plant? does it effect taste?

feeding it food coloring wouldn't work. The dye wouldnt make it past the roots. After a chop and dropping the stem in water for a few days should work. It will work with white roses. I dont expect your buds to be bright blue or red. I suspect it will tint them very subtle. I dont see any benifit and you have too much time on your hands. We perform flushes with pure water for the last week to remove chemicals and nasties. Why add nasties? Just my take.

I have no problem with green I just wondered if it worked.
I thought it would make a nice touch & I always flush with pure
water for 2 weeks.
I'm sure seen pictures of Mj that is really blue.

-Take pictures of your plants with a digital camera
-Transfer to your pc
-Obtain Irfanview or another application that supports image effects
-Run the images through an outline or edge detection filter etc
-Print the resulting outline images
-Colour them however you like..

I'd advise you to stick with crayons though.. I don't think it would be wise for anybody who actually asks that question to handle pointy objects..

Why are you in advanced cultivation? Do you even grow? Thousands of posts and no photos? Why such elemetary questions in other threads yet so much advice to others?

All talk no walk.

I see you on so many threads yet you have no pics. In my 350 posts I have probably 150 photo's up. What is your ratio? You love numbers and jargin.

Since you like answering my questions (I can show them the thread :bigjoint:) born2killspam...please, enlighten us with your grows. I mean afterall, after 2600 posts you must have something to show? Yet you don't...wait I know, it's super stealth.

This is so confusing to such a simpleton like myself and everyone around you.

wow, 350 posts and 150 pics! dont hurt yourself, junior. some of us dont need to justify our work with pics, some of us have grows were not comfortable photographing, and some of us just plain have better things to do than prove ourselves to new, fly-by-night members. b2ks knows his shit, be respectful.

BTW - welcome to RIU:twisted:

When I was growing I didn't participate on overgrow AT ALL.. I lurked, I learned, but I never posted..
Wasn't a giant setup, but it consumed an entire bedroom, and by letter of law here it would have been enough to screw my life up..
Nowadays I got kids in the house that are... Well they're fucking kids..:(

I don't pay much attention to pics unless its a diagnosis assistance situation, or a side-by-each experiment I'm interested in seeing.. I don't know if I've even seen any of your pics.. Don't worry, I believe you can grow dope well without the proof..:)

Edit: I'm actually even more of an asshole in journals anyways.. I'm not the type of guy who pats ppl on the back, and gives rep merely because a pic was posted.. Like I said, I'm usually only in those threads to try and help, and alot of inexperienced ppl just don't want to hear what they gotta hear.. You know, things like 13W isn't enough light, or Labour Day weekend is too late to plant, or pH is an important factor to monitor..:)

You can too color the bud...right after harvest you can chop and throw it in a bucket with food coloring...dont put the bud in the coloring just the stem, the roots will absorb it and it will change color, fdd did this...but I hear its shitty smoke once dried...I definitely wouldnt do it, but you can try for fun... it works

Would likely come off smoking like water-cured bud I imagine, and yea that shit sucks almost as bad as quick dried weed..
Interesting point though..
