Is it possible for a plant's trichomes to genetically not turn amber?

brown?

is that the shit walter bishop was smoking?

No it`s what a lot of people call "Amber"

Depends on the strain

some plants make a mix and they ripen like follows

Clear/yellow/amber

clear/cloudy/brown

yellow/amber/brown

Amber/Amber/brown

Clear/brown

Brown is when they degrade

not all trichs can become amber

it`s genetic

@RM3 Has showcased a lot of this showing that not all plants make amber

a lot of plants will go clear/milky/brown

Milky for most people would be better than brown

but I like couchlock

So I was going for amber, don`t get me wrong I like the functional stone of a nice 30 to 60% amber crop

but if you get 60% milky 40% brown or even 60% brown

you end up with some "I can`t lift my ass off the fooking sofa" high

Indica doms run 2 to 4 weeks longer make some nice couch lock weed

but if your after amber its mostly genetic some plants just won`t make much of it or any at all

some will just go clear/ brown

others clear/milky then brown

normally they won`t go clear/milky then amber

they`ll be slightly amber from the start and get more yellow as they ripen

some strains only make clear, cloudy and brown

some make early amber some make late amber and some amber up around the time you want

normally down to the strain, lighting and what you feed them
