still lie to kids about say mythic holiday symbols like santa claus. i for one will not do that to my child. if i tell them the easter bunny exists then i might as well tell them daffy duck, the tooth fairy and goku exists. in fact what lies should not be passed onto children.

of course you should lie to kids; it's one of the greatest perks to being a parent...

You gotta lie to kids to make them do what you want.
Life is pretty banal, you lie to your kids to stop them realising this crushing fact too early in life.
Some lies you tell them to amuse yourself, some to protect them from the hurt of truth.
Sometimes it's quicker to lie to them than take the time to explain the reality of the situation.

If you're not lying to you're kids, you're probably not parenting properly.

when I was in 7th grade I had a teacher tell the class the easter bunny wasn't real and a girl LEGIT didn't know that was the truth. Its stories like this that make me lean towards encouraging others to tell them the truth...but than I remember how much fun my sister and I had when we were younger. Ya gotta lie bud, by the time they're old enough to know the truth they don't give a shit anyway
