Im in Socal and its getting hot now. My leaves are getting kinda skinny and long and look like they are suffering due to the heat. Is it ok to spray the leaves with water in a sprayer? I even have a mist setting on my water hose that works well, but I was told that it would "burn" my leaves if sprayed in the middle of the day. Im confused! Seasoned outdoor growers PLEASE help!!!!! I will post a pic if that will help. oh yeah, its a little breezy so I doubt it will just sit on the leaves. Its only the second week into flower and there isnt any bud yet so mold shouldnt be an issue, right?:dunce:

Spray them. Droplet burning is usually an issue delt with in indoor gardens, sourced from hps lights sitting still over water droplets. Outside, in the wind and sunlight, the plants will do great with a good spray. And your instinct is right, mold will be no worry.

100_3868[1].jpg100_3869[1].jpg100_3870[1].jpg100_3871[1].jpg100_3872[1].jpg They dont look yellow like they came out in the pics but its the sharp blades that look to be closing if you will. For lack of a better word, they look like they are getting skinny. The last pic is a Sativa(sticky ickie) so I know it should have long skinny leaves but they never got that skinny in veg. The first two are White Widow and they NEVER had skinny leaves! I searched for pictures of plant problems and since its on both strains now, I could only come up with heat stress as my culprit. I am afraid to over water as my last season's crop were doomed from root rot due to over watering. So now I only water every two to three days and not alot. Sticky in in a seven gal grow bag and the two widow sisters are in 5gal grow bags. Please help!

oh yeah, im dealing with thrips and have been for weeks because they are all in the grass(lawn) and I cant do anything about them. so if you see the spots, its thrips. I dont have a single spider mite, knock on wood. Last season I had them BAD!!!!! Not this time, only thrips. All these were indoors for about 6 to 7 weeks but the thrips made me throw them into the backyard 3 weeks ago. My garage touches the back yard lawns so I cant stop them from going into the garage because I need the door to be cracked due to the high heat(83 degrees sometimes with it closed) .

HAHAHA I just looked at my pics and its hard to see that they(leaves) are folding closed. Its mostly the new growth. And They looked way fatter when they got thrown into the outside 2.5 weeks ago. Socal near Ventura. Mostly sunny, highs are 75 and lows are round 60. Miracle grow potting soil, spagnum peat mixed with perlite all mixed together. They never got hardened off, im still learning evidently, and they only have grown about 1 inch since they got thrown outside. Hows that for details? PLEASE HELP.

oh u threw em out from being in, thats y right there, heat stress as u said, all mine did that after being put out, going from ur indoor light to the intense heat and light rays of the sun. its not a big issue, after being out a little while they wont be as sensitive to the heat, but during hot days theyll curl as well
