Is it normal to get panic attacks when smoking marujuna?

In the past I've suffered from anxiety and panic attcks and they went away until I smoked some bud. I got scared and it was te worse thing. And it was Luke when I had a panic attack. Anybody know how to make them stop? Is there a strain to help stop them or anything? I've smoked b4 and never got them and I've smoked for a while and all the sudden I get them only when I smoke. Is that normal? Any tips or advice? Please help I miss the feeling of being high. And it would suck to stop smoking :((

Yeah you probably should start smoking some mids or regs man,chronic can do that if you can't learn to maintain.

mj is prescribed to help with anxiety issues and panic attacks. im not sure on what strains. but im sure you can google it and find a good reliever for it

Fuck I don't want to quit smoking. I love the feeling of being high. I'm not sure what I smoked.
But my friends said I might have took too much.

ive had anxiety for years..really bad anxiety...and it went away for a couple of years..i then began to smoke weed again after awhile and it came back..

anxiety and depression go hand n hand..and mj is a depressant..

im sure in some cases it can make it worse

That's weird. Whenever I'm stoned, I forget what stress is :joint:.
Try an Indica strain... or just something very potent. I really think you'll be relaxed and unable to panic.

I have some major depression issues, which also leads to anti-social behavior... I'll get all like fuck man, what's the point of life. It's just hopeless and pointless, and boy do I suck at it. It runs in my family. SSRIs do work but you have to sacrifice so much; they make me a zombie. I can't smile or laugh at all. I mean, everything is comatose, no exaggeration. It is also impossible to cry, no matter the reason.

Cannabis fixes that, no joke. I don't mean I get high and forget about it, but even the day after smoking I'm not down at all. The main friend I toke with, who also happens to be my best hookup is out of town until Sunday... so just decided to take a short tolerance break (when he gets back, we're blazing up a shit ton of White Widow). 4 days has been hard as fuck, I feel so god damn down. I mean it's literally a medicine for everything, I was born with no appetite (lucky me?) and there have been times where I haven't eaten a single thing or drunken anything but water in 2-3 days... no joke. I'm a guy, so I'm not anorexic or anything (gross), but I really never feel hungry and often just forget. After blazing up though, everyone likes to munch. When I'm sick, sore, or practically anything lighting up a joint cures most if not all of it.

I don't see how MJ is a depressent. In fact it's not. Alcohol is, but MJ isn't man. MJ makes colors, food and everything better it's not really just a feeling of intoxication. You often even have extra energy when stoned, or get into long conversations jabbering on (more common with the Sativa strains, no doubt). Even if it was, depressants are used to treat panic and anxiety too just so you now.

Well, when Sunday comes life will be good. I'm glad this is cannabis I used, not crack because the only withdraw syntomns I have had are the syntomns present before every discovering weed that it cures. Insomnia, appetite, depression.

I've had panic attacks a lot before from smoking, it usually depends on the strain. Some of the really strong sativas can make me get a little edgy while the strong indicas are more like a couch lock high. So I think it's normal because everyone reacts differently to different strains. =)

no, just not often anymore. it helped me quit smoking cigs too :D which is a plus..i just smoke like couple times a month now..

i like to just lay outside and relax..read a book and smoke enjoy nature kinda thing...or if im really stressed hahah

You can't take too much, you can smoke 1 pound in 1 hour and your not going to get any higher than if you smoked 3 bowls.

For me panic anxiety can definately be problem from smoking. You just gotta realize nobody knows your high unless you tell them. Honestly though, I have found that after your tolerance is built up (which I have found can take about a year or two of smoking) it goes away. It can be a little uncomfortable at times I agree but I guess when your high all the time it stops matter anymore :D

look im not trying to scare you..honestly take it from me...im panic attic king..
do a breathing exercise when you get a panic attack..

1. you know its a panic attack so just keep telling yourself that..your gonna be fine..
2. you think your gonna die but your not..(think of all the times you THOUGHT you were gonna die and youre still here..)
3.think of it this way...if something is wrong and you do die...well your not gonna be alive to know..(so its no longer a big deal)


now for the breathing exercising...

breathe in real deep while counting to 5
hold it and count to 5
breathe out while counting to 5
hold it out and count to 5

do this a few different times to chill the hell out

you can pick any number you want 5 is just one i use...

i know all this im teling you seems dumb and impossible to do...but im telling you what many years of this shit has done to me and working through it..

also some of this stuff ive learned came from a my psychologist who believe in not taking drugs for anxiety and believe in using methods and tools to deal with it..
this stuff really does work..

My nephew only smokes indicas cause now he swore sativas made them worse, sensi star is what he gets all the times,id hate to see any body quit

Yeah man I get depressed and mj is the ultimate anti-depressant, I have no idea whats wrong with people who say mj is a depressant. I know scientists say that but they also use to say the earth was flat.

Panda smoke something weaker like try smoking some swagg. You got to learn to maintain if you want to smoke the chronic and maybe with your condition you can't.
