Do all MM states follow this same policy, and is there a limit?
All state have different laws and from what I have learned California's is the loosest around. Go to http://www.norml.org/ and search for your area within california, they have a very comprehensive list of sate and municipality codes dealing with MMJ. Also in California at least, municipalities can enact their own limits for cultivation/possession. Here in San Diego city limits you can have 24 plants and 1 lb of product but elsewhere in SD county you are restricted to the state limits which is 6 mature OR 12 immature plants and 8 oz of product.

I have read elsewhere on these boards that disposing of your product to a collective is legal but you are not supposed to sell to other MMC holders, which doesn't make sense, hopefully someone can clarify that. Also I have seen posts up here saying that most dispensaries won't buy unless you have a pound of product, another thing I would like confirmed for sure.

Hope this information has helped, as always peace out!:weed:

YEAh it is true you can "get rid of it" but its always weird. Apparently when you make the call just say "interested in vending may i stop buy" Nowadays it seem the clubs only sell the stuff that the club employees grow-- if ya know what i mean. (safeacessnow.com) In ca its 6 plants OR 12 immature with 8z limit (just about every county). SO if you go to see them bring the half pound you are allowed to carry and half pound at a time. From what i understand MANY clubs wont give you the time of day and offer you low low low cash. Its a coin toss. Be cautious of concentrates- the laws are grey, in a sea of grey laws. Honestly- start a low key delivery service for older folks with their medicals that dont want to be seen in clubs. Make sure they are legal and all "donations" are requested to pay for nutrients, lighting, seeds, electricity and water, but NOT LABOR. Have a signed document for each person stating you are the provider, google the form online. --- if you are into paying taxes on "the extra weed" it will look good in a court case---- but only on any money you make above 10,000$ below that its too low to file

Another thing that I thought about and after meeting with a dispensary owner yesterday it was confirmed, hire a lawyer if you are considering doing this.

He told me having a lawyer for advice is the best investment that you can make in this business, due to the fact that from time to time you could get busted due to overzealous PD. Having a working relationship with a lawyer that specializes in this can sometimes save you money and time.

As always peace out :weed:

Any idea what's the best way to go about finding a good specialist lawyer?

I would try the Normal site as I have heard that they have listings for that. Or do a google search for marijuana lawyers, should get some hits on that :joint:

Peace out :weed:

V8 Engines, I agree with you, it is a "Weird" thing. We were in Sac recently and had a little extra and dealt with some of that weirdness. It makes sense, that they buy from their employees. My neighbor owns a collective and my husband has a certificate to transport and to grow for them. I wonder if that certificate is good enough to do that delivery service thing? Also, he has a medical card that says he can have 7 lbs at time. This delivery thing sounds like the thing to do. Does anyone know anything about this? Also, I think the lawyer is the best advice, because we also have another friend that owns a collective and he had 5 lbs on him, he OWNS the collective so that is not much, he was pulled over and it was taken from him and still has not been given back. He didn't get in trouble but WTF?? Anyways, it is a gray area 'getting rid' of the excess. We live in Nor Cal and have considered going to So Cal because we heard the prices are so much higher but not sure. I am going to look into the delivery thing, that seems like a great thing to do and you can help people who are house bound. When you go to a collective, have most of you dealt with consignment or reimbursement up front? Just curious what most of you have experienced. I am going to search on the deliver thing now........Thanks!!

This is all good info but I think we could get more...anyone else with experience?

I would imagine folks who are supplying wont divulge too much as to not impede on their on supply chain to the dispensaries.

I was wondering about average prices in SD County myself. I'm familiar with the practices of a few places in NorCal , namely in the Bay Area. What's an acceptable price tag you could put on something in SD County? Does anyone know?

prices for what in SD county? depends on area. Downtown is always going to be more expensive. Same with the beach communities, OB, Mission, and PB. East county and North County will be the cheapest, with the middle price range being usually College Area and Central SD. As cheap as $18 a gram for top shelf, as expensive as $30. Eights top shelf are $50 minimum, upwards to $70. Quarter is usually $90 to 120, Half $175-220, Zip $300-450. LB's, well... heh, better have deep pockets. Again, that's for top shelf. For some good fire, $15 a gram and $40-45 eighth specials are easy to find. Schwag eighths with seeds aplenty sell around SDSU for $45 an eighth.

Sorry, forgot to mention I was talking dispensary prices. I didn't make that clear...
