Is it harvesting time?

So, yeah this is my first plant ever, so I have no idea if it's harvesting time yet. It SEEMS to be still growing leaves out of the tricombs but other than that, it seems to be kinda....well the hairs on the tribombs are turning brownish and the leaves are kinda droopy...I've been taking care of it like normal, and the plant itself was sprouted back in spring...so its been a while (it was sprouted in either april or may) I know its not dead yet because it still seems to be growing those leaves, so...whatta you guys think? Time to harvest?

I don't think you even know what trichomes are. Leaves and hairs don't grow out of trichomes. Trichomes are the little crystals that grow on the flowers and surrounding leaves.

I'll tell ya though, that plant looks about ready to me (without looking at the trichomes). Most of the hairs have turned brown. However, you should look closely at the little crystals (trichomes) and if some of them are an amber color... its definitely time to harvest.

Basically it takes 2 months of flowering for the early finishers, up to 3 months for the later ones. You can buy a pocket microscope (or jeweler's magnifying glass x30 is good enough). With this device, check the trichomes (the resin). 3 stages:

- clear: you'll get a more heady high. Better to wait.

- cloudy: almost there. The high is in between heady and couch lock.

- amber: latest stage. The high is the most powerful.

Usually people cut it when the trichomes are 50 cloudy/ 50 amber.

I like to harvest when about 10% are amber. I don't wanna be like the flat girl on that anti-marijuana commercial.
