is it Dying or is it Done??

So I have 3 plants that are growing in hydro that are 2 days away from 8 full weeks since they started to flower. They are under 400W HPS in a 6sqft cab using PureBlend Pro.
The plant in the picture on the left (Aurora from Nirvana seeds) has been yellowing for the past 3 days now but last night looked horrible with hardly any green left in the fan leaves. The 2 plants on the right are Sensi Star and are still looking pretty decent. They are starting to yellow as well and look to have some Mag defeciency but it is late in flower so I have not added any more CalMag than usual. 2 weeks ago I had an overfurt problem so after changing nutes I kept the ppm really low around 300 for a couple days then brought it up to 1200 over 2 days. It has been 4 days since I brought the nutes back up and now the yellowing.
So to the ultimate question, do I have a problem here or is it dying off because its done? I have never had any look like this before being done so I'm a little lost.

I have messed up my plants much worse. Hurts yield, but your smoke will be just fine. Probably a nute def, but I am not the best resource for "healthy" growing. Don't chop -- let 'em keep going. They will surprise you.

they look fine to me the leaves turning yellow can mean there takeing in more nitrogen from the bloom nutes its normal i wouldnt cut down as the plants do most of there bud growing in the last 2 weeks so leave as long as possible use a microscope to look at the crystalls.

edit- the plants have nute burn thats why the leaf tips are burning just use water from now on with no nutes till done and wait for all the white hairs to swell into buds.

pH is 5.7-6.0 I am having to use pH up to keep it in that range though. Daily the pH goes down. Any idea why that might be as usually the pH goes up over the period of my grow? most trichs are cloudy at this point with very very few ambers. I'm not planning on chopping. just trying to figure out what is going on.

not 100% on this but is the water tank air tight? it might be beacuse the clorine in the tap water is evaporateing makeing it less acidic.

I typically use RO water. But the last couple weeks I have been using rain water. So I dont think thats it. I asked the guys at the hydro store and they had no idea either. I was thinking that maybe the plants were using the H20 and not the nutes so the nute concentration was rising and therefore causing the pH to fall. Just like when adding nutes to the water.

Two questions. Firstly, what color are the roots? Are there dark patches in the roots, are the roots smelling? Secondly, what color are the tricones? If theyre amber or even the tips of them are amber, then flush and chop down.

I actually cannot reach the roots but they dont seem to smell. The trichs are mainly cloudy with some clear but no amber. I usually flush for a week but was thinking about not doing so this time. I am using PureBlend Pro which is organic so I dont really need to right?

Depends if you have overfed them. It is still possible to do (but not easy to do) even with 'organic' nutrients. Really cant help much more unless you can get to the roots for a looksee.

So here we are on the end of 9 full weeks of flower. I am thinking about chopping tomorrow after they have been in the dark for about 15 hours.
What do you think. Are they ready???
The trichomes are about 10% clear 70% cloudy and 20% amber..... I was thinking that maybe the buds might still swell up a little more. Any advice?

They are done, go ahead and chop. I would say those buds swelled up nicely. I have heard that leaving them in the dark makes them think their life is coming to an end, so they put out everything they have. Maybe leave them in the dark for a little while longer.

and to fill in on the past problem plant it has died off at around week 8. The roots had a white fungus growing on them and did not look very healthy when I cut down the plant. So I am assuming that was my problem all along and has in the end led to very light fluffy buds.

anyone have any experience with leaving them in the dark compared to not leaving them in dark for a long period?

from some research ive done dnt leave them in the dark for more than 24 hours it over ripens them but yea it does increase thc potentcy n mae sure u water them the day befor u throw them into the night because with no light on there will be no room for evaporation leading to a higher risk of molding

Thanks, that is good to know.

thanks buddha I will take your advice and not leave them in too long. I suppose 15 hours should be good enough. So when cutting them after a full day of grow does the bud turn out more harsh?

2 days away from the end of the flowering period the plant's should be yellowed up and not looking there best.Give them 2 more days and then chop and tidy the buds up and dry then enjoy................................tyke..........................................
