Is it a seed????

I can't post photos but I have found a small round yellow/greenish ball in the center of some of my (forget the name of the part that has the little hairs coming out but looks like the rollitup guy/gal). Are these young seeds. I did have a hermi in my room but cut off the banana before he could open. Was only there for a day. I check all my tops for hermis daily.

Does this sound like a seed? If so... should I cut her down now? We are three weeks out but they are loaded with sugars and while the tricombs(sp?) are younger there are some that becoming milky.

I don't want to keep the seeds.

Thoughts?

They're called calyxes and that is indeed where seeds grow. There's no reason to harvest just because you have seeds. The plant will still mature, just some of its energy will go to growing the seeds.

Do the calyxes have something in them normally? These things are so small.

Also, on the plant that's the worst (I've now noticed it's on others) there are almost a group on balls (7 or so) on the top of the very smallest lowest buds. They are small, like the ball on a ballpoint pen and "young" green colored. They don't have hairs and look smooth. What do these sound like?

Thanks!!!

Sometimes they show up in non Fertilized harvests with no Herms or males.. They may or may not grow into full seeds.. Just leave them and pull any male flowers you might find..

No harm

I spotted 3 of them in my last grow and they never fully matured! I ended up picking them out and eating them with about 2 weeks left...
