Is fox farm coco loco similar to ocean forest?

I'm just a tad confused, I'm about to transplant from 1 gallon to 5 gallon smart pots and the only soil I can now get in that quantity is ff bushdoctors coco loco.. Now the bag says coco coir but... Anyways I'm confused to say the least, nutes right away? Wait a couple weeks? Anybody that can shed some light on this subject, I'd love to hear it. Thanks

ocean forest is soil, anything that says cococoir is not soil, pretty sure coco needs a regular feeding schedule from the beginning.. I use happy frog all the time tho.

Coco Loco is fine solo, not my first choice, but its fine.. loads use it alone. I would not use nutrients immediately.. typically if you're doing a transplant like that, its still young.. Coco Loco usually has enough in it to get you to the flip before you need to add nutes.

But that is just what I have picked up along the way.. best of luck!

I appreciate the info man. I had to actually call fox farms cause I didn't wanna hurt my ladies w nutes so I'm glad the lady told knew what she was talking bout. She said exactly what you did so I feel a little better now with how I've been treating it. (Similar to ffof rather than coco) ladies seem to be doing just fine in it
