Is flowering under 200W worth it?

Hey guys and gals. I was wondering who here has flowered an auto flowering strain under 200 Watts CFL and if you could be so kind as to post a photo, so I could get an estimate on yield & vigor.

I have a single 200 watt 5600K CFL bulb with a Hydrofarm Hood in a 2' wide x2' deep x 6' tall enclosure. The bulb is only a two months old, so it should be putting out very close to 12,000 lumens. I know after a year the lumens can drop quite a bit on a CFL.

I've used this type of setup for years as a way to get an early start on my outdoor crop. Normally I germinate four seeds in one gallon smart pots, allow them to grow for about a month under 18/6 lighting, then I take them outside in March or April, after danger of frost has passed. I don't usually grow automatic strains. The last one I grew was about three years ago outside in a raised bed. Yield and height weren't all that impressive compared to my regular strains, so I never bothered to grow them again.

I'm completely out of weed from my last year's harvest and I've been having to go to local dispensaries. I'm just looking for a fast turn around to get me by until my outdoor crop finishes.

Also, if you want to recommend any particularly fast flowering strains, auto or otherwise, it would help me greatly. Oh and if it's not to much trouble, I'd like to hear first hand experiences only. Not what you've read about or heard about from friends. Just what you've actually grown first hand. Thanks!!!

That's what I'm thinking, but I've always assumed you should have at least 400W to 600W to flower. I'm not interesting it adding more lighting right now, so I'm kind of debating if I should even attempt to flower with just 200W. I would need to order automatic beans, but i got plenty of regular seeds from Cali Connection, Reserva Privada, and TGA.

my first auto flower harvest was with a 125w cfl full spec. i used roots organics soil and roots organics nutes. my strains were barneys pineapple express and ak47 from a friend, i yielded 12.7 off the pineapple express and another 11.4 on the ak. all together it took a little under 6 weeks all together. but once i dried paper bagged and jarred for about two weeks the pineapple express was one of the best buds ive ever smoked. oh yeah thats the weight of the buds when dried. better than having nothing.

Vindicated: here's a simple formula I was given at school: at least 5,000+K's green to blue to grow and veg with a red 2,700K to flower. Some growers I know veg in 6,000K and 6,500K but it seems to be more a matter of choice. The 2,700K seems to be pretty firm on flowering. I hope that helps. HSA
