Is Biden fit for duty?

Does Joe Biden have the cognitive function to run the country for another four years?

  • Yes

  • No

  • I don't believe Joe Biden is struggling with some type of cognitive decline.

So instead of blabbing on about being a super intelligent rebel that knows better, explain why you think what the prosecutor stated doesn’t make him a hack? It doesn’t follow Justice Department protocol and certainly appears like a political hit job.

If someone was trying to use the death of my child as a way to attack me, I think I’d be putting that Presidential immunity claim to good use in my defence, not worrying about misspeaking.
I would question the character of anyone that would bring that up, especially because it has no relevance to the case at hand.

Holy shit is right, there is no shame in what some people support.
Viewing a line of questioning as "being attacked" is some top shelf reaching lol. And i agree, he should have used his immunity because what happened after that was some jaw dropping shit. How much against Justice Department protocol was it anyway? I'd imagine such a no-no against the president of the country would merit some disciplinary action, why hasnt there been any?

Man, what a WHOPPING coincidence that in the very speech to address the "political hit job" about the holes in his memory, Biden mixes up Egypt and Mexico all the while with a bewildered glazed over look in his eyes.

Having the special counsel question him on it isn’t the issue, it’s putting it in the report that is. I would imagine MG is aware of and would like to avoid the appearance of any kind of political interference. That’s what good leaders do, avoid bringing the offices they serve into disrepute.

Meanwhile in real news,

An appellate court decided that Trump must stand trial for his role in conspiring to interfere with the peaceful transfer of power after losing the election in 2020

AND

The Supreme Court stood on its head to avoid ruling to disqualify Trump from the ballot by focusing instead on a technical detail.

You: "Bbbut Biden said Egypt instead of Mexico."

The desperation in your post is palpable.

Not a whataboutism.

Just trying to put things into perspective. There is a world of difference between a faux pas in a speech and actually being told to stand trial for federal crimes. Maybe you don't see it the same as I and that's OK.

The rhetorical device is called "distraction", not "whataboutism" and I guess I'm guilty of using it. Or maybe I'm not. But I simply don't think the mistake Biden made registers nearly as high on the fuck up scale as the GOP's choice for president did when he tried to carry out a coup and fortunately failed. I don't understand how anybody can find a way to support him after that.

its not just "a mistake" or a faux pas. Im one of the people that admired the speaking ability of 1990's Joe Biden, This happened during a speech about not being charged for a previous mistake with sensitive documents, also a report about other mistakes with important dates, and at least a dozen public gaffes and mixups with the names of countries and their leaders, mistaking which of his colleagues are alive or dead, etc. This didnt come out of the blue, its been a concern for most of us impartial folks for a while.

You seem to mistake me for someone who takes joy in the leader of their nation being in such condition, i surely dont. I would be just as loud if Trump couldnt remember these details and seemed so loopy and cognitively hindered. Theres a difference between your brain not working and being an dumb loud arrogant narcissist.

PS nobody tried to carry out a coup or overthow anything lol thats being dramatic so say the least. There is tweets and plenty of video footage of folks saying that Trump stole the election when he won. Remember the Russian collusion that was never even close to being proven true? even with the full power of the investigative agencies in the US... It was horseshit when they said it about him and horseshit when Trump said it about Biden, a bunch of rich sore losers.

On the one hand, Republicans completely forgot that Trump lost the election and conspired to interfere with the peaceful transfer of power

On the other hand, Republicans think that a faux pas that Biden made in a speech is an indication of his decline.

Whataboutism?

to the bolded: there are also videos of people swearing the earth is flat. Your standard of admissible evidence needs work if you think vids and tweets mean anything.

Impartial yet still trying to say there was no attempt to overthrow anything?

Russian collusion that was never even close to being proven true? Some highlights from the Mueller report:

  • Trump associates repeatedly lied to investigators about their contacts with Russians, and President Trump refused to answer questions about his efforts to impede federal proceedings and influence the testimony of witnesses.
  • A statement signed by over 1,000 former federal prosecutors concluded that if any other American engaged in the same efforts to impede federal proceedings the way Trump did, they would likely be indicted for multiple charges of obstruction of justice.

  • In 2015 and 2016, Michael Cohen pursued a hotel/residence project in Moscow on behalf of Trump while he was campaigning for President.[5] Then-candidate Trump personally signed a letter of intent.
  • Senior members of the Trump campaign, including Paul Manafort, Donald Trump, Jr., and Jared Kushner took a June 9, 2016, meeting with Russian nationals at Trump Tower, New York, after outreach from an intermediary informed Trump, Jr., that the Russians had derogatory information on Clinton that was “part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump.”[6]
  • Beginning in June 2016, a Trump associate “forecast to senior [Trump] Campaign officials that WikiLeaks would release information damaging to candidate Clinton.”[7] A section of the Report that remains heavily redacted suggests that Roger Stone was this associate and that he had significant contacts with the campaign about Wikileaks.[8]
  • The Report described multiple occasions where Trump associates lied to investigators about Trump associate contacts with Russia. Trump associates George Papadopoulos, Rick Gates, Michael Flynn, and Michael Cohen all admitted that they made false statements to federal investigators or to Congress about their contacts. In addition, Roger Stone faces trial this fall for obstruction of justice, five counts of making false statements, and one count of witness tampering.
  • The Report contains no evidence that any Trump campaign official reported their contacts with Russia or WikiLeaks to U.S. law enforcement authorities during the campaign or presidential transition, despite public reports on Russian hacking starting in June 2016 and candidate Trump’s August 2016 intelligence briefing warning him that Russia was seeking to interfere in the election.
  • The Report raised questions about why Trump associates and then-candidate Trump repeatedly asserted Trump had no connections to Russia.[9]

  • The Mueller Report states that if the Special Counsel’s Office felt they could clear the president of wrongdoing, they would have said so. Instead, the Report explicitly states that it “does not exonerate” the President[10] and explains that the Office of Special Counsel “accepted” the Department of Justice policy that a sitting President cannot be indicted.[11]

  • The redactions of the Mueller Report appear to conceal the extent to which the Trump campaign had advance knowledge of the release of hacked emails by WikiLeaks. For instance, redactions conceal content of discussions that the Report states occurred between Trump, Cohen, and Manafort in July 2016 shortly after Wikileaks released hacked emails;[18] the Report further notes, “Trump told Gates that more releases of damaging information would be coming,” but redacts the contextual information around that statement.[19]

  • Further, the Report details non-cooperation with the inquiry by the President, including refusing requests by the Special Counsel for an interview; providing written responses that the Office of the Special Counsel considered “incomplete” and “imprecise” and that involved the President stating on “more than 30 occasions that he ‘does not recall’ or ‘remember’ or ‘have an independent recollection.’”[22]

Have you not been listening to any of the crazy stuff coming out of Orange Jesus' mouth in the last year and even before or just wilfully ignoring it while you concentrate on inconsequential things to blast Biden for?

Biden has 20 balls in the air right now and even a 40 year old president couldn't do as good a job of it as Biden is.

With Mexico so prominent as one of the bigger problems he's dealing with it's no wonder he made a slip. I wouldn't want to get out of bed if I had waiting for me every morning half the crap he knows he's going to have to deal with.

Trump calling Biden “cognitively impaired” and then 5 seconds later saying he will cause World War 2 is just pure comedy

Took over the airports, in the Revolutionay War.

STABLE GENIUS.
