Dude I got everything and have just about tried everything lol ph up, ph down, calmag, sea mag, foliar feeding, less food, more food, regular tap water, RO water, and still cant figure what and the hell is goin on here. I use foxfarm grow big for veg (without any problems) but its about 2 weeks into bloom is when this problem starts. Advanced nutes sensi bloom a and b, big bud, bud candy, calmag (light dose) at a 6.3 range, ppm around 1200 which the dude at advanced said was perfect. WTF??? I'm def switching to foxfarm ocean forest but I don't want my 60 girlfriends to die....

So does anyone think that I might be lowering my ph of my food too much? Cause according to the ph chart posted, magnesium gets locked out below 6.5 and below.....anyone think this could be a possibility?

Dont rely on the cheap ass soil meter. I have one too and it blows. If you want the true ph of your soil, youre supposed to get some soil from around the middle of your pot. Dig down a little. Put it in a glass with water and shake it around pretty good. Take the test of the water and it should tell you your soil ph. Never done it, but i hear thats how you get soild true ph. The charts are a rough guideline. People grow lower and high than what the chart says but i wouldnt advise it. My soil varies between 6.5 and 7 because im not to anal about it.

I noticed you said it was a soilless mix and not soil.

lol why would you use some cheap ass meter? You need something that's reliable and able to be calibrated.

Yes I'm using promix which they "claim" is a soiless mix, but def thinkin of switching to ffof

Do Pro-Mix HP (High Porous) next time too, or Roots Organic.
And they are considered soilless, not soil and most def not hydro because water isn't the base of your growing medium, like DWC and Aeroponics.
You may just have a high salt build up too.
What nutes are you running again ?

Advanced Nutrients is famous for having watered down NPK ratios that don't match the labels. Make sure you are running high levels of Phosphorus(P) and Potassium (K) especially in week 3 and 6.

It's called a soiless mix because there is no actual dirt in it. It's a peat based mix.

And before you go getting all proud over FFOF, it's a peat based mix also. Just more expensive and more goodies added.

You can make Promix better than FFOF at a cheaper cost with a few amendments.

I make my own mix, using peat moss from the company that makes ProMix. Been using it for years and it's way beyond ProMix or FFOF and stupid cheap, after the initial investment for amendments.

But, I will tell you this, until you spend the $5 or so and get some lime to add to either of those mixes, you are going to keep running into the same problem, FFOF or ProMix. That bottle of cal/mag just ain't going to do it for you.

$5 is kind of cheap compared to enough FFOF to xplant 60 girls.

ya think? So say I do go to ff, my first question is, what ratio should I do and will it hurt if I put it in right when I repot my cuttings? Because i clone in plastic cups and go straight to the container that their gonna spend the rest of their cycle in.. also is there a way to add it to the ladies that are already blooming? I can't repot them so I have to find a different way to get it in there

I would use the amount I mentioned. 2tbl/gallon of mix, or, 1cup/CuFt of mix.

Will not hurt the cuts.

Best added to the mix before use, but you can also top dress with it for the ladies in bloom. Sprinkle it on and water it in.

When you add it to the mix, moisten the mix to get it started. It takes a couple of weeks to get working good, even longer from a top dress. That's why you always try and add it to the mix before use.

Don't bother adding it to the water. Remember, it's just ground up rock and really won't dissolve and most of it will just end up in the bottom of the watering can. That's also why you want the powdered/ground dolomite. The pelletized takes even longer. I use than in my garden, but apply it in the fall for the following spring.

Hey can anyone help? I made the mistake of pruning my 5 week old girl just before the lights went out. When they came back on the top of the plant was twisted over. It has recovered after 10 hrs. of light but the leaves are turning yellow to rust. All 5 parts of the leaves are turning right where they meet the stem of the leaf. Then it continues down the leaf.I spray with the recommended food 3 times a day with a little bit of molasses mixed in. My 135 watt led's are 20" off the top. I also have 2-cfl's 200 watt & 300 watt the same distance. What is going. Help me fellow chokers.
