I'm currently running a 400W MH for vegging and soon to be a 400W HPS for flowering, in a closet that measures 19" x 25" x 48" , have a cold air intake runing 18/6 with the light as well as a 250 cfm exhaust fan that runs 24hours a day, my average temps with the light on are ~76f with ~45RH , and light off ~70 with ~55RH, Check out my journal I've got some pictures of the grow area, I believe the ones that are in there currently the old configuration, I've recently (within the last week) remodeled it kind of moving all the ducting out of plain sight, I will take pictures tomorrow night when my wife gets back home with my camera, Hope any of that could help:peace::joint:

Thanks for all the advice everyone I appreciate it....

So it seems like you all think its a good idea to not go cheap with the cooling.

I was going to get a cooled ballest, but would a 160cfm inline fan cool a bulb in a 400W?

I would of course have additional fan at the top blowing through a carbon filter, what size fan do you all suggest?

Oh and what is a zip?
