Hey sourkush, welcome to the forum

i run a 400w in an apartment with no problems. i have since a month or so after i moved in here. you should be fine. I would stick with hps if you can, i've had better luck experiences. But i've seen really good grows with cfls

good luck and happy gardening!

A 600w will run at 4.5 amps with a 120volt plug, average circut is about 15amps. Check whatelse is on the circut as a precaution if you ever do this. In a small space you want to have atleast 600watts for best crystal production.

I would go with a 400 watt , you can get a switchable ballast to run HPS & MH with 1 unit.

I would get a Air-Cooled Hood & Carbon filter Setup. :joint::peace:

I have both 400 & 600 watt systems. The 600 runs much hotter, i.e. harder to cool, especially in an enclosed area. I run the 400 in the summer, 600 watt the rest of the year.

Just my $ 0.02 bongsmilie

If you're worried about your power bill , monitor what your daily usage is before growing and then calculate how many watts all your equipment uses per 24hours. Add the 2 numbers together. If it equals more than double your non growing usage you may get a call to put you on a better deal from your power company.

I run a 600w hps, 110w inline fan, 55w inline fan, sometimes a 225w dehumidifier, 85w tubular heater, a 15w oscilating fan, a 7w clip on fan, a 6w water pump and a 6w air pump.

Runs me nearly double what i was, 13kwh when not growing, 25kwh when growing. Power company put me on a better price plan because i was using more.
